I'm on board. I appreciate that hair companies are putting ingredients that are readable and healthy for hair and scalp.

Wow. Your hair is beautiful. I am and older silver headed lady who wants to grow my hair long. You inspired me.

Hey I used to have that problem with braiding up close to my hairline. What works for me is to take a comb and part a very small section at the beginning. Your technique is great. If you part up closer and split it in three like usual and start from closer to your hairline that should be the difference you’re looking for. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how people got it so close before lol so that just sounded too familiar to me. 💫💛

I’ve been trying to get away from silicones. I loved the Shea moisture leave in no silicone but hated the shampoo. I think I’m so used to shampoo and conditioner with silicones that I’m just not used to feeling something different. I think I would like to try it tho! I love the smell of cocoa butter! I’m so excited for you to be in your new home Sam! I can’t wait!

I think you’re right about not being used to how your hair feels without silicone. It can take a couple weeks to a few months for your hair to adjust to silicone-free products, so hang in there. If I remember correctly it took my hair about a week or two to adjust, and ever since then, I’ve notice my hair has been doing better overall. I’ve been silicone free for a few years now and definitely recommend trying it to see if you notice a difference.

It works both ways. I was without silicone for so long but then I tried the head and shoulders cowash with silicones. My hair was so frizzy and undefined!

When you grab hair to start the braid make the sections smaller thats how you will get the braid closer to your hair line

You and your gorgeous hair are unique in so many ways. Thank you for making the world more beautiful by sharing your beauty and your advice, dear Sammay 🥰🥰🥰

Hey Sammay! I used to have the same problem with cornrowing the middle of my head. I learned to start the front of the cornrow with smaller pieces of hair. I start with the hairs just behind my baby hairs, split them in 3 sections and grab small pieces until I’m halfway to my crown. Then I grab bigger chunks to add to the cornrow. Sometimes I have to position my hands as if I were cornrowing to the side because I find it hard to grab small sections when my arms/elbows are up like yours were. Then I change positions and finish the cornrow with my elbows up. Hope that makes sense. I wish I could attach pictures in the chat box. 😆

Your baby is just a cutie...Your hair is beautiful. This is my first time seeing the products you used. To get the braid right in the front grab smaller sections starting at the hair line and braid a little tighter or use some shine n jam.

Happy to see you again, what is good for stopping hair from breaking?
@AmyLeeAngelLove3 жыл бұрын
A trim, hair steamer, and coconut oil on wet hair. Don't use any chemicals on your mane. Silicones, protein, and dry strands can lead to breakage as well. Buy a wooden comb or brush (TEK). I personally use Vo5 shampoo and conditioner (moisturizing).

Do you use a hair catcher for the drain? That’s my biggest stressor when washing my long hair is the shed hair going down the drain.
