Another great and informative video. I am glad to find out that Aveda is now being more transparent about their ingredients and using better ingredients, I used to use some of their products (sap moss was one of my favs!)before I changed to a non toxic lifestyle but stopped when I saw that a couple of my favs from them was not as clean as I hoped. I am now looking forward to giving them another shot.

The denman brush rips my hair😣. But, I love to use finger detangling and the praying hands method. My hair is already super defined, so finger coiling makes my hair frizzy 😂. It’s like, I’m thankful that my hair is pretty easy to manage, but the most popular techniques do not work on me sad face 😢

So happy you posted this. I actually stopped using Aveda because I thought they had silicones… now I’m excited. Alba have you ever tried Christophe Robin line?? I’d love to get your thoughts.. i love it and it smells amazing. Lastly what is your favorite clarifying shampoo? My biggest issue is getting my hair to act right when styling and I can never achieve good 2nd day hair. I loved the denim brush but I get so much shrinkage.. and I doing anything wrong 👀. Love your videos and your beautiful. Keep the content coming! ❤️❤️
@simonesmall3433 жыл бұрын
Denman damn typo 🤣
@Mrs.AlbaRamos3 жыл бұрын
I’ve never heard of Christophe Robin, so I wouldn’t be able to comment yet. Yes Aveda has tons of lines and the curly lines are all silicone free. To clarify I’ve been using the acv rinse and once in a while I’ll use the Derma e clarifying shampoo. I know shrinkage can be annoying and more of a problem for those with tight curl types like 3c and type 4’s but try to enjoy your curls at any length. Longer hair doesn’t equal beauty. If your hair is healthy and looks good, it doesn’t matter how long or short it looks. Just enjoy it, take care of it and with time it’ll grow and shrinkage will be less of an issue.
@simonesmall3433 жыл бұрын
@@Mrs.AlbaRamos thanks so much.. and yes I agree.. but thank you for the reminder… I have fairly long hair but the shrinkage is a struggle. Here’s the link if you’re interested… the scents are amazing. Thanks for the great content. www.christopherobin.com/

So, I love the routine. It's very similar to what I currently do. Your curls are like mine so I went to the Aveda site to order all the products used BUUUUT it would be over 200.00 to get everything. I just can't bring myself to spend that especially how fast I go through products on my very thick hair. What do you recommend that is reasonably priced. Even if it's only certain products from Aveda with a mix of others?
@tamikobailey15163 жыл бұрын
Hi Alba! Do you find that the skin on your forehead breaks out from products used on your bangs and sweating? Are there any curly hair products that you have used long term that don’t cause this? Thank you!
@Mrs.AlbaRamos3 жыл бұрын
I have had my bangs for 4-1/2 months and no products I used have caused breakouts at all. I only use clean brands and clean skin care. You won’t see any breakouts in any of my videos on my forehead. It’s a huge misconception that bangs cause forehead breakouts. When I was in HS as a 14-16 yr old I use to break out on my forehead all the time even without bangs! But that’s because of hormones from puberty, and improper skin care that I didn’t have at that age. I use to dry out my skin on purpose because I thought oil caused acne 🤦🏽♀️ I didn’t know that drying out my skin only caused my skin to produce more oil and be imbalanced which resulted in a moisture imbalance and clogged pores that caused the acne and bumpy skin texture. I have never had that issue again, with or without bangs.

@Mrs.AlbaRamos3 жыл бұрын
We have an infrared sauna at home. I’ve had it for over 6 years. It’s not a steam sauna. Infrared sauna’s have infrared heat panels on the walls that detox toxins from deep tissue vs steam saunas which only make you sweat by using water and steam on rock to steam the room.

The front is bot my cup of tea. All of that is not necessary. For curly hair, just damp it, put in something that contains petroleum to add that moisture, then put any other moisturizing product you like, comb out your hair, the "scrunge up" the curls and go through the door.

I’ve been wanting to transition for a long time from the less professional / childish “screen name” phase type of name like “SunKissAlba” which I created in 2010 not knowing the value of using my real name vs a screen name. Can you and you’re husband do a supplement and more health videos . My husband and I love you guys. I was also wondering if you ever tried zeolite for little Manny as a supplement? Not sure if your Familiar with Dr. Hyman or Mindy Pelz they have information on this. I was looking into for my son and wanted to know if you guys looked into it?
@Mrs.AlbaRamos3 жыл бұрын
Yes we did zeolite for years within different protocols. But it didn’t do enough for my son in particular. Every child responds to it different but detoxing and then doing zeolite helps. Doesn’t hurt to try and give it at least 6 months before deciding to continue or not. And yes I’m familiar with Dr Mark Hyman. He had mercury toxicity himself and has a great podcast we listen to also.
