Them mid-week washdays really are lit though, lol. Detangling is so fast and hardly any shed hair getting all over the place. I need to get more regular with doing them.

Ok RaeRae.. you went ole school with the products 🥰 I am a fan of the Alikay gel too and a little goes a long way. You can get great definition but with extra crunch if heavy handed. What I did one time to get rid of the crunch is lightly mist my hair with water.. put on plastic cap to soften … then topped with a light oil… it helped. Great video you showed us two options super defined and a softer hold. Day 6 hair was still so defined and cute. Definitely trying this combo

Great wash and go! I am glad the leave in and smoothie paired well. If you had not fluffed your hair it would have lasted 2 weeks. It would have taken a week to naturally get bigger. I wear my hard holding gels for two weeks. Luckily I don't have too much shed hair when wash day rolls around. Anyway, thanks for sharing this combo.

Thank you! You are right, it probably could've lasted two weeks, but there is no way I would go that long in a wash and go. My shed hairs would be a nightmare on wash day😱 Plus, my hair thrives with water so giving it water more often works for me. I know that being able to go longer between wash days works well for some, so I tip my hat to you. Thanks for tuning in.

Your hair looks great, going to try the combination . 👍🏼😊 Alikay and Shea Moisture are the products I started with when I began my natural hair journey 6 years ago. They do the same thing that all the expensive products do and in some cases, better than. Once again, your hair looks very nice.

I tried the Alikay Natural Gel with She Scent It Passionfruit & Flax Creamy Leave In. I got a curl Definer you comb through your hair to help bring out your curls, I used it too. I love the gel. I diffused my hair afterwards, and it wasn’t too stiff 😂but it’s a hard hold just the way I like it. It’s definitely a repurchase for me.

This was a great combo. Haven't used curl enhancing smoothie since probably 2013. I might have to pick this up again. My hair is very finicky and prone to dryness. I've been rocking with one particular moisturizer and the Bomb Azz Fro Jelly. I either use that Ain't Jackie's, or the Doux gel. And if I'm really going for definition, I'll use Wetline. But I always use my Nairobi foam with my wash and go. I think it's just a habit but I love it for all wet styling. But this wash and go you just did was chefs kiss.

Love your results! I have used those Shea Moisture products in years. I’m definitely going to try this combo as soon as I purchase the gel. My hair is very dense, so I don’t have to fluff, tfs.

I have not used the Shea Moisture Smoothie in years, that was one of my favorite with the KC Custard. That's a nice combo and your hair looks so healthy. Great tip to get rid of the crunch and plus gives the curls some more moisture. I use your tip all the time. I like your day 2 and day 6 curls which still looks great. Yes, I would try that combo. I still need to get the gel. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Rae. I have both in my stash. Curl Enhancing Smoothie was definitely a staple in my twistout days. That Alikay gel I purchased when the collection was released and used it once with her spray leave in, and all I remember is c.r.u.n.c.h. so it's been abandoned for a minute. I'm willing to retry thanks to this combination and video. 😊😉

Hi Rae I just used the last of my Shea Moisture Smoothie using the Wetline which I loved but only used a little gel because I prefer the softer fluffy look and I still use heat to stretch to get the look I like. That gel ain’t no joke 😂 and yes on day six you still had plenty of definition and I liked the results but I like the fluffier results on you too and I not be using the combo since my hair is finer and I don’t think I would like the ramen 🍜 noodle look either.

Hi Rae! Your hair is beautiful…seriously. Thanks to you I was able to order the gel when they had the buy one get one free sale. So I’m looking forward to to using it soon. I’m currently wearing wash and go using the Adwoa beauty melonberry leave in with the doux honey bee girl mousse and the hold is still there and I’m on 6th day hair. I usually go about 7 days due to work and family/life just don’t have the time to wash and style my hair sooner. But another great video and thanks for showing tips on how to soften the hair as I don’t like super hard hold either so I’ll be sure to use your tips because the bigger the better lol have a great weekend ❤

Our hair is almost identical, and all I use is a little water and oil to break the cast and make my hair more fluffier. It works wonderfully. I love your wash and go...subscribed ❤👑!

I found that putting water on my styled hair usually frizzes it out, so I prefer to use a milk to fluff and it addes more moisture, as well. Thanks for tuning in and subscribing to my channel.💛

You have beautiful hair. I cannot not use that product because I am allergic to coconut. It is hard for me to go 5 or 6 days for wash n go. Because when it is time to wash my hair. There are a lot of shedding dryness and hard to de tangle my hair
