Because ts a botanical gel you need your hair to be more wet and a lil more product... The suggestion for botanical gels is for your hair to be soaking soaking wet Also, def set it down with heat and the flaking... Unfortunately curl maker flakes no matter what you do for a lot of people. Try again on wetter hair and more product Love your hair, your gorgeous btw ❤
