To me, having to wet my hair all over again kind of makes this not worth it. Why wouldn’t I just style while it was wet the first time? I mean I guess if you truly don’t have time one night then maybe? But it just seems like I would be doubling my work have to wet and then dry my hair twice.

I’ve been washing at night and styling the next morning for a while now because I too like to spend my evenings with my hubby and puppies!! Soaking the hair is definitely key, as you figured out! Glad that this method will help you out too!

My sisters and I have been doing this since the 80's, only we just used a spray bottle with water in it to wet our hair the next day, instead of uncomfortably hanging upside down in the bath tub. To this day I still have a spray bottle with water in it for this purpose.

I am a night time showerer (medical field), and I do this, except I use a concoction I mix in a spray bottle and dampen my hair, and then scrunch with a mousse. It air dries perfectly, and then I scrunch out the crunch.

@@jessicaburnett4283 I use about a Tbsp of Curl Talk leave in spray (that particular bottle is terrible & squirts out in a stream- hate it by itself), and a Tbsp of Twisted Sista 30 Second Curl Spray, and fill the rest of the way with warm water. It lasts me about two weeks for refreshing.

After you diffuse, do you shake your hair/scrunch the crunch? How do you get it all so separated and fluffy? Mine stays clumped together

I do this sometimes and i have very similar hair to you, the trick to no frizz and volume on the second day is brush your leave in conditioner in then go in and scrunch and proceed with gel as normal. When you brush the second day your roots arent soaked so they dont do flat but you can brush and smooth the frizz from sleeping the night before

Yessss that volume!!😍😍I honestly love frizz I find it gives you that effortless look of like “omg she just woke up looking that good!” 😂I prefer showering/bathing at night but hate styling/drying so styling in the morning works so much better for me and I normally prefer the results! ❤️

Honestly I've been really frustrated with my 2b/2c hair lately. I don't like how it looks after I wash it and that used to be my favorite hair day. All of my products are the same but to be fair I only use a leave in to fight frizz and sometimes the curl talk sculpting gel. I always air dry. But lately I've had a lot of wet frizz and haven't been able to scrunch my hair like I used to. So out of frustration I've just been faux french braiding my hair until the next day when it's dry and I get a lot of volume and great waves 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just can't seem to work with my hair anymore.

I just don't even know how to say this....I've been obsessed with your curly hair tutorials forever...but I could never get fullness and couldn't understand why! What was I doing wrong?! I tried EVERY method I've seen you do. My hair is 41yo and 2c/3a so ofc it's not as full as someone your beautiful age, but I can't even get near your results. 😔 And then I found out you use extensions. I'm so confused now. It’s a great concept and I’m willing to give it a go. I love to shower at night too. It’s my thing and I love to go to bed clean. LOL. You just really need the time in the morning to wet and restyle. Would be tough for me personally if you have to get to the office by 8am. Ugh. Also I just wonder if all that rewetting of your hair is just duplicating the process. It’s like washing your hair, but not…😮

I shower at night, let my hair partially dry and wear a satin hair bonnet to help prevent tangles & breakage. Sometimes I French braid my damp hair, then wear the bonnet. My hair is still wet in the morning so all I need to do is add product & style.

AMAZING! Curly hair is so tedious I could never everrr wash and crawl into bed without styling and drying, and I also hate morning showers!Gonna have to try! Also, how do you keep your roots so neat my roots especially around my face are teeny tiny curls and just don’t sit well I have to take a flat iron around my face everyday to make it look decent! Otherwise it’s this odd wavy stuck to my head look 🤦🏼‍♀️

@@indiabatson26 I got my products in time for my last wash day, and I so impressed! I used the pre-shampoo oil drops, the instant recovery serum and the air dry cream. There was so much shine! My hair is STILL shiny on day 4. But I also got a lot of volume and a surprising amount of definition and hold. I have really big, loose, waves and super fine hair. So to have some of my waves and all this volume last for over 3 days is extremely rare for me. My waves get weighed down and stretched out so easily. So I'm hooked now, lol. I want to try the embody shampoo next, because he clearly knows how to give volume to fine hair.

Sleeping with slightly damp hair would be fine, but make sure it’s mostly dry before going to bed. It works the same with curly hair and since you’re not completely soaking your hair in water in the morning, it reduces the time that you spend on your hair, hope that this helps :)

Hi I blow dried it before going to bed ! I just like a crappy blow dry. No diffusing or smoothing. Just , get it mostly dry. this works on both waves and curls !!! 🤗 it doesn’t necessarily cut time so much as spread it out. Instead of spending 4 hours on your wash day all in one sitting you space it out if that makes sense ? and it also allows you to shower right before bed if that’s your thing 🤗

Me too. I’ve been working on it and can now get to day 6 for a shampoo. Some folk have more oil producing scalp. Let’s face it. She doesn’t have an oily scalp perhaps. In any case we’re all different and have different needs. It’s not reasonable to think, oh gawd, I’m gonna look like that! It ain’t the products it’s what we have naturally.

I say take your shower the night before and just wash your hair in the sink next day . You won’t have to dry your hair twice and you’ll have more time to style your hair if you work from home .
