This might be such a weird comment, but thank you so much for being on here with your natural skin, without a filter, makeup or filler, and your natural hair. It makes me feel so much more seen? I don't know if that's the right way to word it, but it's just refreshing and I love it.

Yeah I agree when people say they’re ‘bare faced’ but have makeup or a filter, but let’s not come for people with filler. If they wants filler because that makes them feel better, that’s not them lying and you shouldn’t have to put down what other people do for you to feel “seen”

I don't know if you will see this since this video is from a few months ago, but I never realized you lived in Georgia and were Christian! It might not seem like a big deal, but I live in Florida, so it's relieving knowing another curly girl is dealing with this humidity lol. Also seeing how joyful and full of life you are in all your videos, I love being able to follow other Christians and see their lifestyle, it honestly lifts my spirits. Thank you for all that you do, this just helped make my day a little bit better :)) also the video was super helpful!! I have similar hair but not that much volume (which I don't mind), but I've been a bit disheartened with my hair after sleeping and I feel like I constantly need to refresh it every. single. day. Now I know that my waves are okay being a little crazy and fun!!

Day 1: 1: Suave Pink Luscious Curls Shampoo and Conditioner - brush through, starting at ends, if desire) 2: Sauve Pink Heat-Free Styler - Air Dry Styling Cream - rake through soaking wet hair, evenly disperse) 3. Scrunch out excess water 4. Apply gel of your choice - apply with praying hands and scrunch in 5. Air dry or diffuse (Sleep - use silk products, put up in pineapple ponytail. Tip from Emma Breen below: leave out the framing pieces and clip them back with a little bump for volume/to keep them curled.) Day 2: Looks good, so no maintenance necessary. Day 3: Refresh 1. Shake it out and fluff from underneath. 2. Suave Pink Air Refresher Dry Shampoo - section hair and apply to roots and fluff 3. Suave Pink Luscious Curls Curl Enhancing Hair Styling Cream (defining cream) - go over the top and frizzy areas 4. If not looking it's best or you prefer, you can style it in a half-up/half-down style or whatever style you prefer. Day 4: Refresh 1. Using spray bottle, wet hair until damp, especially focusing on problem areas. 2. Sauve Pink Heat-Free Styler - Air Dry Styling Cream - don't need as much as on Day 1; use a small amount and work/scrunch into the areas that have lost wave/curl definition, and then scrunch all over 3. Diffuse or air dry. Day 5: 1. Suave Pink Air Refresher Dry Shampoo - section hair and apply to roots and fluff 2. Suave Pink Luscious Curls Curl Enhancing Hair Styling Cream (defining cream) - go over "edges" (outside of hair all over), especially the frizzy areas 3. If not looking it's best or you prefer, you can style it in a cute pigtail style or whatever style you prefer.

I know I'm a year late to this video but I want to sincerely thank you for making this video. I have... much different hair than you. Growing up I never learned how to take care of my hair because I was raised by a working single father who did his best. I had to learn on my own later in life and I'm still learning today. When I try to find tutorials on line its hard to find creators with my same hair type and the more similar ones make tons of videos about what to do on washday but it is so dramatically hard to find out how people are caring for their curls throughout the week. This feels like enough information that I can translate it into what I need to do for my own hair. Seriously, thank you so much.

I know this is an older video, but India, this makes me feel so much better about how my hair looks 2nd or 3rd day!! Mine gets so frizzy, loses definition, and basically turns into be beachy waves too. I am slowly learning how to bring out its best, and honestly your videos have been the most helpful ❤️ My hair is similar, but I have much less than you do, so when I get a less than desirable result, it looks so weird 😳. I don't know if you have heard of this diffuser, but I love it. Bellissima Supreme Ionic Diffusser. I saved my pennies to get it. Heard so many good things about it. I've been using it for over a year and I love it. Excellent investment for me. My hair is softer, healthier and frizzless. What I like about this diffuser is that it is not an attachment to a standard dryer. It's light weight and very easy to hold. Plus, it doesn't blow air out but the warmth of the air is released so your hair isn't blown around while drying.

I pull up the top few layers of hair, spray bottom layer with water and work a little watered down gel through, then bring down the next layer and repeat until I’ve done all three layers (bottom, middle, top). I don’t use dry shampoo since my scalp doesn’t get oily ever. I also wet down the nape of my neck a LOT and put much more gel there to define the curly-Qs there because I don’t like frizz there and I have to wear my hair up as a dental hygienist. I don’t have the best job for curly hair for sure. I wish I could wear it down like a normal person.

I have watched a ton of videos that are so helpful. I feel my hair is constantly dry and tangled, and I've tried many conditioners, shampoos, products, and masks . Unless I use super moisturizing conditioners, my hair is SO tangled, but then those weigh my hair down, so less volume, and it weighs my hair down..... stretching my waves and less volume, so not cute. What do you do with any tangles in between washes?
@caitlynmeyer21092 жыл бұрын
I isolate my snarl then gently brush it out dry. Then I re-wet that section of hair with spray bottle or just wet hands and add just a little styling cream to smooth it out and maybe give it a little finger coil or scrunch. Hope that helps! I tend to get a lot of 'rats nests' on the bottom portion of my hair and this takes care of those quick.

Speaking of skin... I struggled with acne after I turned 23. Why I could never figure out. I would get cystic acne. I washed my face, I used the best makeup, I even would use new brushes, and nothing helped. My work requirements were to dress in dresses or suits and to wear makeup every day. I was crying one day because I just felt awful about the way my skin looked, and that is when my husband said, "Stop wearing makeup, you're so beautiful, you dont need it... That's probably why your skin breaks out." I scoffed and said, "I have to wear it to work, or I will get fired." My husband said, "Well, if that is the case, then you should quit. If wearing makeup is so important to them, let them find someone else to work as hard as you do. Obviously, they dont appreciate you." This conversation made me realize that I didn't need makeup on my face to be a professional. I told my boss that I would no longer be wearing makeup because of my skin issues, and she said, "you must wear makeup to work or you will be written up for dress code violation" I told her don't worry about writing me up because she will just need to find a new employee. I quit and never looked back. I stopped wearing foundation and have not had any acbe since. I still wear mascara, lipstick, eyebrow pencil, and sometimes blush... but quiting foundation made my skin so much better. If you suffer from constant acne breakouts... try skipping foundation for a few weeks. I now only use aloe vera gel on my face for moisture and my skin just glows. I never have to deal with breakouts and it made my skin look so even. I am now 37 and I never even miss wearing foundation. My skin looks better now then it did in my 20's. I think the secret is the 100% aloe vera.

@kaja41052 жыл бұрын
I typically wash my hair like once a week; during summer time maybe every 5 days. And I used to wash it every other day because I had the same problem as you. For me the trick was to let it get greasy for maybe 2 months. So I would just wash it every 7-10 days for around 2 months, and sure it wasn't great in that time. But afterwards it just didn't get greasy as easily as before. But I could only do it because I had nowhere to be during that time period. Because it definitely didn't look good (or feel good) for that Greasy Period :'D
