Very useful information! I have an AEG Oko Lavamat and it works perfectly fine until the rising cycle when it does not take water anymore and I get E10 error code. I understood that the rising cycle is done with cold water but I don’t understand which part could be malfunctioning. Could it be the main control board?

If you have power going to the cold water valve and no water is entering the machine then the valve will need to be replaced. If you are not getting power to the valve then the control board would be the issue.

Thanks for the info. You forgot one though. Water main break outside. Lol . Took my hoses apart, turned on kitchen faucet to clean filters, no water. Water main break.

If you take the water level switch apart inside is a set of points like an old car ignition system. Just clean the points and you’re good to go. Just did that to my washer. Saved me 50$ on buying a new switch

Great video ! My Whirlpool washer 1CWTW4815EW1, when set on SMALL LOAD automatically fills to MEDIUM or more. It does not overflow of course. I have blown through the pressure hose to make sure it is not obstructed and the hose goes directy to the MAIN circuit board. Will replacing the water inlet valve have any helpful effect on this problem ? It has done this since new about three years ago. Thanks !

It sounds like the water valve is working properly since it is letting water in. If it's not filling up to the correct level and the pressure hose is clear, then you will need to replace the control board. I have an Insignia Top Loading washer that cleaned clothes very well for 13 months. Now it agitates for 5 minutes before the water goes into the tub. Even with Deep Water selected the tub barely has any water in it. I've checked the hoses and filters - they look good. Next I'll start with the Water Inlet Valves. Thanks for the videos. Could water have gotten in the area outside of the drum and be causing the washer to "think" it already has water in it?

Can you verify that model number? Not having any luck locating it anywhere. Do you happen to have a multimeter? You can check the valves for the correct voltage.

GE Washer GTWP18WOWW Washer is set to Extra-Large load, Heavy washing mode. Water fills to expected level. Washing cycle begins and continues normal until timer pointer reaches the RINCE cycle. The Rinse cycle begins with filling the water to approximately ½ of what was during the Washing cycle. Agitator starts with ½ of water. Agitator starts while water continues filling the Tub for the next 10 sec. then water stops, and the Agitator continues with 1/2 of water to the end of the Rinse cycle followed to Spin cycle. My thinking was that the Water Level Switch is OK because it fills water properly at the beginning of Washing. I have installed a new Timer but issue remains the same. Would you please advise. Mines only a month old.. Fills less than 1/4 not even close to cover clothes. Sounds like it whining like motor struggling. Stops fills. Stops whines. I took a bucket n filled up the tub. Idk what to do. Bc Lowe's SUCKS

I found that the problem with the old washer is the same as the exact new one that was provided by the landlord. I take to adding a gallon or so of water weighing down the clothes and fooling the machine into sensing that it has a "full load."

So my washer is a GE top loader it will fill to the correct amount of water for a wash cycle. Small medium large but on rinse mode it will only fill up to the bottom and that's it. So could it be the water level switch? Or the water inlet valve?

The manufacturer has designed this unit to not utilize as much water during a rinse cycle as it would the initial fill.

@@daniel-ji4ww Good, purchased the meter, took it apart to asses just fine. Easier than it looks. Then the vendor came out and showed me some wires that came loose when the washer was spinning. Now I know what to look for. Your video was most helpful and you're a great teacher. Thank you Dave.

This machine isn't that new. No error coding available. However, in reading more on your website, I think it might be a need to change the water level setting switch. Another question, though: how could gunky filters in the hoses cause the machine to not fill all the way? If you set the level to "large load", shouldn't it fill to that level even if the water is dribbling into the tub, taking, say, 5-10 minutes to fill? The level switch is pressure sensitive not time sensitive, right?@@appliancepartspros

My Roper Washing machine cycles back and forth between hot and cold water (1-2 minutes each) during the fill cycle when the "HOT" water setting is chosen. The result is the water in the filled tub is lukewarm at best. Does anybody know if there is a part or parts that determines the length of these cycles? I'd like to make the hot water come out longer and/or the cold come out shorter to result in true HOT water when the tub is filled. A capacitor maybe?

The first thing to look at is the bus fuse. If it's blown, the water will not fill. Should be at the top of anyone's list, that is unless you're selling overpriced parts. Geez
