I am concerned that soap is still left on the dishes with this method since each dish added to the rinsing water has foam on it. So the last dishes to be rinsed are actually plunged in soapy water (hope it makes sense).

Yes exactly...running water is best for cleaning properly

This is actually very helpful to me. ☺️ I hate washing dishes but I’ve probably been making it harder on myself all this time! I’ve always used two sinks; one held the soapy water and the other was left empty for running water to rinse. I recently heard about the two bin method but had to KZbin it because I couldn’t see how a collected bin of water for rinsing could actually wash the soap off without getting soapy itself. Here, I see that it does! I also see that doing some preliminary steps, like washing with pre-rinsed dishes (definitely never did that 😒) makes a world of difference. My soap basin eventually got gunked with food bits so rinsing with running water _was_ the only way to really wash it off. Who says you ever stop learning? 😁 Thanks again!

I'm so happy to hear that this video was useful to you! Yes, pre-rinsing or scraping as much food off the dishes before washing is a must (and one that my students still struggle with!) Also remember that you don't need a lot of soap; too much and your rinse water will get too soapy quickly. Thanks for the detailed comment. I will share this with my class! Happy dishwashing!

I bought biodegradable Castile soap and I use the leftover water that is left in the dishpan to water my outdoor plants. Thank you for the tips

That is a great tip! I didn't know you could use gray water on plants. Makes sense, though, because we use biodegradable soap when camping, too. Thanks!

Hmmm...it sems to me that every time you add a soaped-up washed dish into the rinse water, you'd be adding more soap to the rinse water, and that tgere will still be soap on the rinsed dishes. I know sometimes when I rinse dishes, they look rinsed, but I can still feel soap residue on them, so they need more rinsing. There ought to be a better way to rinse without wasting water. Also, that's an awful lot of soap. The more soap you use, the harder it is to rinse it completely. I am mot convinced that this is a good method. I do, however, appreciate your explanation about stacking wet dishes. I think, I would hold a wasged dish over the sink, and fip s rinse-only rag into the rinse tub, then just squeeze all of the water from the rag onto the dish abd repeat intil thd dish is timsed. It might take linger, but yhd dish will be rinsed and and yhe rinse wzter will remain soap-frer. Otherwise. I dont kmow of a quicker way to wash and rinse sithout running water.

Thank you for your effort for this video. this is wonderful to know that scientifically soapy dish with six times of filling it water and emptying it it gets rid of soap. because I didn't have any idea when all the soap are gone from dishes I was over rinsing but I am going to use your method. God bless you Thank you very much

Love your video, I also don't have the space to do dishes or a dishwasher with back to back FACS classes. I also noticed, you and I have the same kitchen cabinets. FACS teachers rock.

Why two bin when you have two sinks? In one sink put the stuff in for washing the dishes and in the second sink put clean water in for to rinse. Also better not to use soap, cause it is very poison, I was badly poison from dish soap after someone else washed the dishes and did not rinse it enough. I came to the hospital. White vinegar and baking soda is the best for dishes and also for other cleaning.
