Washing my king size comforter

Apparently there are very few KZbin videos or none at all showing a machine washing a King Sized Comforter, not a Duvet and as you can see with a little manual help, this machine is capable to wash such a large item. This is an older model Wave Touch machine and the capacity is 4.7 cu. Ft.. The newer steam machine are rated at 4.3.. Just a tad bit smaller than the originals. I do add water through the dispenser draw for only this item, but If I use the prewash in conjunction with the main wash, the need to add water is not necessary for the comforter will get wet completely eventually! There isn't a bulky cycle on this machine so the Heavy Duty Cycle is designated for its use. Just reduce the soil level and spin speed to fit your needs.

So far not one service call on this washer, the cubic foot ratings been changing like the wind for the last year or so. I highly recommend the washer and I'm using 2 very old large capacity dryers that also never had and service calls. One from 1986 electric I think and the other is from 1996 electronc control gas dryer. If you have a older dryer and the laundry room is not in view by company or visiting family members, no need to swap out unless thy must match!

It's a very good fast electric dryer. It may look fancy but not that awesome because it's only 3 temps with wrinkle gaurd 1 added to all cycles.

That is correct, there is nor force against the door to break locking mechanism.

The door locks when in service and unlocks anytime/everytime when I press pause on all cycle immediately!

Nice looking comforter! I also try to avoid gentle cycle at all costs. I always think it's not thorough, also it doesn't spin enough water out. But you have to be willing to risk damage to a "gentle cycle only" item. Call me a risk-taker... : )

Yes, but shrinkage in seams will occur because of temperature of wash or drying cycle!

Not a true statement about extra water will mess up door latch, I'll would be the first to post it on KZbin! I must educate you that the 10* tilted drum allows clothing to tumble towards the rear of the drum away from the door so the chances of boot damages or door malfuctions are serverely reduced and also, coins/baby socks or any other small objects stays in the tub rather than a true horizontal front loader. Not much. Check the rear that shipping bolts are removerd (yellow in color with screws.) Most likely you will have to unloosen all four feet's and adjust them (up or down) until the machine is firmly set on the floor and then re-tighten set screws. Get back to me and let me know if this helps. Your machine came with a foot adjusting tool,

The machine locks the door when the maching is turned on. It cannot open.

@warrenkeller Yes, this is normal. The purpose is to remove standing water from the sump/pump area before washing a new load of laundry.

ur washer doesnt vibrate or move at all during high spin. any problems with it since u made the video?

Currently it has one problem, the screws on the top part of the outer tub are a little loose causing noise in the spin cycle. I will be treating the screws with Loctite Blue to keep the screws from backing off again! Hey it's a little over 8 years old but it still cleans like day one...

Whats the point of buying a washer that you need to have a garden hose to make it work? HE is useless. Get a speedqueen conventional.
