It was a 10'6" SST but after 4 years and 2 broken tips its probably a 9'6" Macgyver special 🙂... that rod has been beaten to hell and back and it still puts in the work.....best rod under 100$

I was gonna say depending on how many I already had in my freezer this woulda been bonked for sure! Especially being a hatchery fish, reading your comment below though it's amazing how the camera can change how a fish looks. I have a few pictures where fish looks horrible! in reality they were just fine ;) Looks like an amazing spot and I will be subbing to see more vids like this! Love bobber fishing. Tis the season too! goodluck for the rest of it.

Ahh gotcha - so it was about the cut and eggs. Just starting out - have yet to catch a salmon…so full of questions. Great videos.

I'd be happy to answer any questions for you....if you're looking for some good bait lookup Sunrise bait out of Forrest Grove Oregon, their cured eggs are the best bought eggs I've found so far and 48$ for a quart delivered to your mailbox is a good price imo.....Sandshrimp is my #2 bait....ty for watching and good luck on your first salmon.

Ty for watching Chip🙂...I'm sorry but I dont give out river names....any river that has a fall salmon hatchery on it will have salmon in it right now somewhere on the river, you may have to do some searching to find them though.....good luck and tight lines!!

The fish looks brighter on camera than it actually was, but after rewatching the video I realized I should have kept it cause it would have cut perfectly fine..... I was also hoping for a hen as my egg supply is slowly dwindling😪
