Daniels has a bright future, but the underlying stats are still question marks for how good he can be. He has one of the lowest pressured rates and one of the highest throw rates to his first read. The commanders also have a top run game too. It’s a perfect situation for a rookie qb. We just need to see how he plays when it’s not perfect

Another brilliant performance by Jayden Daniels. He was MVP of the game alongside with Terry McLaurin. Daniels had 2 TD passes, 15 completions outta 22 attempts, 209 passing yards, 8 carries, 35 rushing yards, 4.4 yards per carry and no interception. McLaurin had 2 receiving TDs, 2 receptions, 19 receiving yards, 9.5 yards per reception. Two receptions for two TDs is awesome.

He’s efficient but he hasn’t needed to pass in the red zone much because their run game is so good this year. The complete overhaul of the Commanders roster and the preparation of Jayden Daniels has already begun to pay off. This isn't just adding Jayden to last years team, it was a complete reconstruction in a single offseason and Adam Peters deserves credit for working so closely with Dan Quinn and the coaches to put guys into positions to succeed and maximize their talent.

The scary part of his game to me is his ability to understand that he doesn't have to play hero ball. Some games will be a grind naturally, just keep it close don't turn the ball over by trying to play hero ball and make something happen. Then he also realizes that there are games where he can light it up. The athletic ability is already there, but his understanding of how to set-up and control the game is already on veteran level. The entire team is playing with a confidence that even in a slugfest as long as they give JD a chance he's going to win them the game. That's the part of his game that already feels fully developed. He continues on that trajectory and the rest of the teams are going to have a problem on their hands. His game is so strong that even getting film on him will be futile. He can take what the defense gives him and carve them up (patient), and/or he can light them up (electric).

Real close is relative! The commanders had three runs into the red zone in the second half! Thanks to their clear lead, the coaching staff was calling plays cautiously, as HC Quinn has some unpleasant memories about overplaying your own hand when in the lead! the result: 2 FG and running out the time while starting on the Giants 2 yard line. But scoring 42 (best case scenario) instead of 27 would had changed the outcome of the game, would it!?

Worst teams get the best picks, which shows NFL is designed for balance and it’s near impossible to have a Dynasty these days unless you’re the Chiefs or Patriots. Thats why NBA draft lottery is better, teams can’t tank for better draft picks. If the Giants kick the 2 extra points instead of missing both 2 point conversion attempts, the score would have been 27-24 at that point. Never mind the TD that got called back. Daniel Jones played good, showing some grit. Giants defense has to tighten up. Commanders are legit!

Jones seems to look much better as a QB when they actually do a decent amount of designed runs for him. I think those runs give him more confidence and make the defense start to worry about him running, allowing his receivers to get more open. Plus his confidence being up leads to better throws as well. They really need to use their running game and stop with the 2 point conversion attempts.

For me, Washington is the team of the season so far - with Jayden Daniels as QB as the surprise player of the season. As a Lions fan, it's still somehow strange to see how we're playing at the moment and after decades of drought I still can't believe what I'm seeing. I think many Commanders fans feel the same way and I really hope it continues like this for both of us, because you just have to love good football! *_And to be honest, I'm really fed up with the suffering!_*
