Interesting hearing about making the house completely dark on Halloween if not giving out candy. I was taught, growing up in the Baltimore area, that the indicator was if the porch/front door light was on, they were giving out candy. We’d skip a house if the porch/front door light was off.

Turns out in 2021 so many people were sitting outside to hand out candy that kids were skipping over houses if there wasn't a neighbor outside. Will be interesting to see how traditions change.
