Washington State Ferry Ride | Southworth to Vashon to Fauntleroy

45 minutes behind schedule! Once finally on the ride was a blast, we got a 2 for 1 since we stopped at Vashon Island before heading over to the mainland. The concessions was open, a bag of popcorn and ice cold diet coke hit the spot :) Sit back and enjoy the sailing, blue skies and blue water, what a great day!!! That is definitely one of my favorite ferry hops. I think the most scenic is Bremerton to Seattle. We love the fast ferry too, but whenever guests come to town from California… We always take the long route from Bremerton to Seattle because I want them to see the islands and all of that in slow motion! It’s just gorgeous. Thanks for that beautiful video.

I remember reading that ferries use what are called "controlled crash landings" to land. That's why the pilings are there for them to crash into.

The Fauntleroy captain did that during covid, I think he fell asleep they found out. Damaged the front of the ferry and part of the docking pilons!

It was a Saturday, Fauntleroy is just dense, to many people there for me. I can't imagine getting out of town every weekend and the traffic!!!
