Thank you very much for making this video. I don't seem to be dumb, and I'm using the computer at work, but it seems to me that this website is designed in such a way that people would rack their brains for days. It could be easier to make a step-by-step web site that explains what to do. Only your video helped me figure it out. Although I filled out the claims last year, this year the system was driving me crazy. On a note, if you fail to step when you fill in your data and get an error that you are already registered somewhere, try entering a different email address and get a name and password. This is what happened in my case. I started to register using my email, successfully received a login and password, but the system did not allow me to make a claim, since my SSN was already in the memory of their database. If something does not work out, it is better to call them and ask the technical support to help you on the website. Thank you so much again for your video! I wouldn't have made it without you!!!

So when it comes to the fathers, do we only fill out the certificate of birth only to qualify for the 12 weeks? And are we automatically approved for 12 weeks or do we get approved for six weeks and then we have to reapply to get the additional 6 weeks?

For fathers you need the certificate of birth OR the paper work that the hospital gives you that states that you’re the father & make sure it has both your name and moms name and everything filled out and then your ID & then pay stubs. You’ll get approved for 12 weeks for bonding ONLY you can not get extra 6 weeks to help with medical portion to help care for mom unfortunately. We thought my bf could bc i was having a c section. But he only got 12 weeks total. The first & last check is very short compared to the other weeks & it’s a 4 week wait currently but they do back pay you for the wait and make sure to do the claim every Sunday so you get paid Tuesday & the last check can always take over a week to be approved

Medical forms you you have to go to PFML online and the docs have to fill out the form I’m pretty sure but not sure bc i didn’t get to do if medically cos i had no idea prior & then the form for bonding they have a form in the hospital to prove you had the baby it has your name and baby on the form & or you can print out the certificate of birth ( not the real birth certificate) online it’s apart of the PFML paperwork & or just submit all hospital docs that prove you had a baby

Im due in two wks. I was told if I use my FMLA through work first i would lose 10wks from the WAPFML and only get 6wks bonding. Is that right?

idk about that, I know that you have to use work FMLA first before the state, but you would have to call the state about that, bc I am not sure if you can use your work FMLA and then take 12 weeks through the state

Hello Haylee, how can I get approved for 12 weeks for bonding ONLY. is it the same application like Paid Family Medical Leave if so, I get approved in Paid Family Medical Leave which is 6 week.

The PFML is the 12 weeks bonding. If you had a c section or anything else you can apply for medical before binding & then after medical is up you apply for binding

I got approved I'm currently on Medical Leave. I am now looking to apply for the bonding(Family Leave). The issue is that it is another application. I only got the Medical/Birth Complications filled out. Am I making the right assumption that I need to go back to get the Family leave one filled out by my doctor?@@lifeofhaylee

@@VENFIG no you just need to show proof of birth which you would have done for medical. So i would send the proof of birth & that should be fine. But also it may take another 3-4 weeks to get approved for bonding but you’ll get the back pay

omg no we had 0 savings and him going back in aug actually f us bc we had no savings so when he went back to work the wait time for him to work and wait for a check messed us up, we just had our daughter in may this yr and basically we didn't have any money until it was all deposited back in 2020 I had my son in oct 9th and didn't get paid until almost dec however they paid us back for the weeks that we hadn't been getting paid for

I am trying to imput my hr of sick leave I used on my weekly claim and it does not like how I am entering it what is the proper format I put in 31.42 hrs then I tried 31hr and 42mn dud like that either

I work for a company less than 50 employees so I have few dollars each paycheck come out. Currently in my total contribution I have a few hundred dollars (not much) if I’m approved after having baby do I get paid from that or do I get paid up to 90% of my salary? Was a bit confused on that… Any guidance would be appreciated! :)

If you meet all guidelines than you would get 90% of your pay from the state

I live here in Washington and did the pfml for my back. As I was cutting back sent in the paper work to work and nothing happen besides me working part time. And 2 PT appointments. My work is a union job and that medical leave paper was sent on to the union and I never got nothing aside my work check. Did I miss something

the 12 weeks is bonding, however if you have a c section- you can do medical that adds another 6 weeks. I would do medical first and apply and than bonding after the medical. if you have questions, I would call and ask them

My employer said I have to work for a full calendar year to be eligible for Fula never mentioned I switched jobs!

You have to have 820 hours TOTAL in a year doesn’t matter the jobs you have to prove income from all jobs worked. I would call the state & ask to confirm as i don’t work for tjem
