During the final phase of trooper cadet academy training, each cadet is placed in the field with an experienced field training officer. These troopers further expand and hone the trooper cadet's skills and knowledge prior to graduation.

No you don't you will be solo which is very nice but keep in mind you will most likely go to north Seattle, south Seattle, Everett or Tacoma until you can transfer out if you choose to do so. I did 25 years in Seattle area district 2 and have no regrets, you'll need to be mentally and physically strong some of your contacts will be on bridges which I'd say we're the most dangerous.
