The SharedWork program of the Employment Security Department of Washington state hosted an industry panel with business leaders who have used the SharedWork program to cut hours instead of jobs during temporary economic slowdowns. SharedWork is Washington state's Short Time Compensation (STC) program through the US Department of Labor (USDOL) and has served Washington employers and employees since 1983.
