Catching Fat Female Shad on the Columbia River Bonneville Dam *FULL OF ROE*

Another great day out on the Columbia River right at the Bonneville Dam. The Shad has gotten a lot bigger than last week with lots of female Shad coming in with their fat bellies full of delicious roe. They fought a lot harder than before and as you can see in the video I lost as much as I caught.

I went there yesterday (Tuesday, 6/18) it’s kinda slow, most people felt the same, the weather was great and very bright, my green shad dart not working well, a guru next to me using a silver bead got a lot action thou.

Thank you for the feedback and I usually bring a few different color Shad darts with me to see which color they prefer that day. I have also seen folks do very well with beads and a hook. @@agooyong6207 best time is anytime in the middle of June and if there’s a hotel in Stevenson which is only like 10mins away from the dam I would book there it’s a very small town but there’s plenty of hotels in Vancouver Washington that’s about 45mins away from the dam and it’s a lot bigger city.
