I believe he was going to retire but when the Queen died, he wanted to crown the King so he would be in the limelight. I have disliked him from day one, he just seems an awful man, can’t put my finger on it but there is something about him that is not right. The Church of England was always a protestant religion. It isnt anymore as it has made sure very feweopke want to go to church these days. This last year i returned to Christianity but i would not go to a C of E church on a regular basis as i found in the past many of the clergy had their own ideas ad to what Christianity meant and this did not fit with what others within the church were saying and doing. I am discussing the Christian religion with a neighbour who also is a female preacher in the Methodist church. We talk at my home and i have learned a great deal from her. Later i may go to our village church again and not just the coffee morning. Welby has lost sight of what Christianity is about as has the pope. He should ho join the the Catholic church. His views are more in keeping with them.

While I understand your anger at Welby, you have spoken a few lies about Catholicism. 1. There is only one Pope of the Catholic Church at present and that is Francis and not all Catholics are members of the Jesuit Order AKA the Society of Jesus 2. The C of E was protestant when it was founded and it is protestant now. 3. His views are not consistent with ours, as Women priests are forbidden from being ordained and we don't support Homosexuality. If he tried to ordain women priests in the Catholic Church both he and the woman he ordained would be automatically excommunicated from the Church.
