If I saw someone, pretty much regardless of who they were, dangling off a cliff, holding on for dear life, I could never walk on without helping and I'd feel terrible if I couldn't help them. But when I imagine that I can see that it's Starmer dangling, the urge to help evaporates. I'd still help him, because I'm not morally bankrupt, but it wouldn't be because of empathy. And if I failed to rescue him, it'd simply be something I couldn't do. It would be like dropping an old cup. Not ideal, but not worth any emotional reaction. I see a lot of people with the same sentiment. They're shocked they feel that way, as I was, too. It's not natural. That's quite profound. I think it's as a result of his cruel, unapologetic and aloof attitude. Defiant in the face of so much opposition to his actions and his total lack of ability to connect on any level - because he doesn't want to.
