I love everything you do, but I have the same thought every time I see a piece finished, "why doesn't she make the inside as beautiful as the outside" My OCD wants the sides of the drawers painted or at least really clean. I understand nobody sees the inside, but its nice to know that if a drawer is ever left half open it will still look great.

I am blown away with your skill and creativity. But… my heart kinda cried as you were sanding the original stain on this vanity (is that what it’s called?) The wood was SO beautiful and old pieces like these are hard to find in a such good condition. If the client had wanted just a spit and polish renovation how would you have brought it back to its original lustre and handsomeness? Clean with I mineral spirits and water, put on a coat or two of protective polish and rub it like crazy to make it brand new? One of the things I admire about your work is the studied approach to your process. It’s thorough and precise, and you commit the time it takes to complete a job well done. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I know not everyone’s taste and aesthetic is not the same. I’m sure your friend loves the look and will be so grateful that you brought her vision to fruition. ❤️

Loved this! Came at perfect time. Trying to redo a home made bookshelf that grandfather made like over 80 years ago. Think is made of different woods as not looking the same colors after sanding. Think I'll try your was technique to unify! Thanks. Love your stuff and vibe!

not sure about this one; loved the color of the original and hoped you could sand, refinish by adding wax, but it looks good this way. Just love old wood pieces and can't bear to put paint or paint wash on them.
@vickiel9143 жыл бұрын
Me as well. But after watching so many videos, some really make it look better. I do understand lower quality furniture being painted though. Some just can't be saved with sanding and a top coat. This one, I'm mixed about. Love how it turned out, but wonder what it would look like with fresh stain and a top coat.

Hi Christina! This was a lovely makeover, and I am thinking of other projects of mine in which to use your tutorial…….thank you very much! But when I first saw it, I thought it was in such good condition already, and since the wood was basically unblemished, I might have opted for some wax, and just brightened it up with some well-deserved muted shine. For myself, I wouldn’t have painted it, but that’s my take on it.
