Docker Desktop includes experimental support for a few WebAssembly runtimes. In this session, Matt introduces WebAssembly and talks about why its design characteristics make it a great complement to container technologies. He walks through the process of building a serverless-style app with the open-source Spin tool, and then packages and runs it inside of Docker Desktop. Matt shows how containers and Wasm can run side-by-side to build high-performance serverless apps backed by traditional data services in containers.
