I'm blown away someone didn't know what Arlington was, but wayyy more impressed with how he immediately looked it up. And that's how we learn. Great reaction.

As a retired Marine GySgt, just the fact that Trace was allowed to change the wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a great testament of what he does for our military. Most heads of State do not get that honor and privilege. God bless and Semper Fi.

I can’t believe you didn’t know about ARLINGTON! It is one of the most sacred places in America. My family is a big Military family, dating back to the 1600’s when Britain was sell the Scottish and Irish off as slaves to the British living here. I discovered that doing research on our military service after seeing a tombstone in our family cemetery on our original family farm of a soldier from the war of 1812. That is when our National Anthem was written, that is a great video to see. It’s called America’s National anthem as you’ve never seen it. It shows the British bombing Fort Henry, all they wanted to do was tear down our flag. It will give you a new perspective on our flag and why it mustn’t touch the ground and the sacrifice that the soldiers gave to keep our flag flying while being bombarded by fire. Check it out, I think you’ll like it. And this son Arlington is about a real soldier that died in.2003 I think, it shows his headstone at the last. How can you not be moved by this? 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️💙💙

Just visited Arlington cemetery not too long ago, first time in DC! It was such an incredible experience. I'm not usually too fond of the military etc, but the PEOPLE who gave their lives, doing what they thought was right to protect us back home, it hits so hard man..

I remember as a teen doing a service project in Arlington Cemetery and just clearing debris and trash and stuff, and just the energy in that space is so unbelievable. I didn't understand it then, but since burying my dad ( a veteran) in a veteran's cemetery closer to my home, it really is something so difficult to express. It's sad and peaceful and beautiful. Wonderfully expressed in this song.

Nothing but Admiration and Respect to my Brothers and Sisters in the Military! I use to tell them, when I came in contact with them, my being a police officer for over 20 years (now retired), I wanted them to know, while they were away from home protecting us! I was here at home, protecting their families! Hopefully, in some small way, I tried to make them feel a little better, being away from home. As I knew, they made me feel a little better, knowing they were busy, protecting me and my family. All My Best... To those serving in the Military!!!

Jimmy, I’m glad that you were able to learn something new about are nation and price it costs for all of us to enjoy the freedoms we have, the freedom for you to have your KZbin channel and share your reactions to videos. I served 6 months in Afghanistan, and numerous times I watched the price that was paid by many of my military brothers and sisters fly back to the United States in a Flag Draped Coffin. Please, pass your new knowledge onto others who may not know yet.

In case you didn't know Arlington national cemetery was Robert e Lee property which was donated to become our national cemetery
@sadiekincaid53102 жыл бұрын
@earlbond007 Arlington didn't actually belong to Robert E Lee. It actually belong to his wife the step- great granddaughter of George Washington and great granddaughter of Martha Washington. It wasn't donated to become a national cemetery the US government took it during the Civil War for unpaid taxes to the US government but it was later found that they didn't have the right to take the land so the US government actually bought the land from Lee's grandson I believe.
