"Country singer singing a r&b blues type song." If that doesn't describe Chris Stapleton I don't know what does. The man doesn't really have a genre, but I think that's the best description ever.

This is generally my thoughts on Chris 'blues, southern rock, rockabilly, bluegrass, country (85% Outlaw Country/15% 'Mainstream' Country), soul' all together, there's an element of each of those in his body & soul. I know why he's classified Country, I just don't think there's a box to put him in 100%

"If It Hadn't Been For Love" that Adele recorded is probably the most WORLD WIDE known songs that Chris wrote. O... And "Tennessee Whiskey" was written by Dean Dillon and Lind Hargrove and was made famous by the late great George Jones (The Possum). Always loved the original because my dad played and sang it a lot back then. Chris did a spectacular job on the song and played it the way Dean did, which is very different than the way Jones recorded. Either way the is a classic.
