Especially when you suddenly have a worse one in comparison on the other side of that driveway once it was cleaned up. I mean fallen over fences, a kids electric car just chucked in a random hole between the house and a shed. It was sad seeing that house next to it.

One suggestion: Spray some grass killer on the driveway then come back a week or two later. I would make your work a lot easier.

I use straight up vinegar on my driveway and in between my patio bricks. They dry up almost over night.

This is deep embedded soil, compacted, grass is the result. He removes it for longevity of cleaned result

Second the vinegar but it only kills the above ground of the plant as it suffocated it but if you add salt and dishwasheing liquid then the dish soap will help the salt soak down and adhere to and kill the roots. You definitely do not want to poison a neighbor's pet. Be safe. Take breaks.

I've seen other KZbinrs (I'm thinking of Fill's Lawn Care) who have a large steel wire brush attachment (2 feet wide) that attaches to his Stihl equipment. It rotates, and does a nice job cleaning up. It might help in breaking up that compacted dirt on driveways, make it easier to clean up.

I know you work a lot with a lot of excess growth on sidewalks and such have you ever thought about getting a manual sod cutter to find the edge of a sidewalk it's like a huge rounded knife edge with a big long handle that will cut through all that muck and get you your true edge

Catching up on older ones I've not seen & wow, this one was so crazy with the tedious shoveling. Hope you know about Dr Teals Pure Epsom Salt (magnesium) & their many scents incl lavender etc or just reg. Great for soaking muscles that are bound to be sore. So, it looks like your efforts are focused in a small city/large to medium size town somewhere in the Midwest. The problem with those size places is a economy that is stagnating, decreasing or not growing for some reason. Lack of job market hurts the overall growth of the area resulting in people moving away and abandoning the houses. While clean up is a good start the town/city also needs to market itself to attract growth. Some suburbs have done just that, offering tax incentives and publicizing their area as a great area for industry. Some have seen explosive growth in their own suburb and surrounding ones from doing that. There are other populations for an area to market to besides big businesses. Many, many smaller cities/ towns would be lovely places for retirees to live. A town could market to that population by providing incentives to seniors, tax breaks and community centers for seniors and advertising itself in Senior publications are ways to start a market plan. The local governments need to get involved and develop a plan.
