@@TreyBDrumsPlaying Temple Of Hate with full double bass over an hour is just incredible.... He and Dani were talking about endurance once and both agreed if you can play Temple Of Hate or Eagle Fly Free non stop over half an hour you can play everything.... And to get as safe as needed for a recording I just play a song that time as I did with March Of Time. But Eagle..... man still so much to practice🤘🤘🤘

Joey buddy, thank YOU. Don't know why that album has come back around so many times for me on here. I listened to it a lot back when it was out but I really didn't think I "listened" to it like I did. It's kinda the drums and Chris Holmes at the same time. He's just a mean ass guitarist and wrote such bad ass riffs. Again dude, I'm so sorry about Bman. Been through it and to say my heart is with you is probably an understatement.

Fills in this is what got me years ago. That whole CD had so many of those long, deliberate fills and to me it was like Banali tipping his hat to Keith Moon. You play with so much intensity but no hesitation if that makes sense. I lost track of leading with your left switching back to your right or stick switches, tricks and flips, fills from hell and probably 5 other things I'll see when I watch it again. Man, I get that more than you know. It was the Headless Children exclusively for me. I want to say there were two albums that ended up on repeat (on cassette LOL!) if I remember. One was No Rest For The Wicked by Ozzy and this was the other one. They may have been released a ways apart but I started listening to both around the same time. Both of those albums just kicked my ass and had drumming and / or riffs that got my attention in a big way dude.

Once again, great kick. What are you using for that or are you just compressing the hell out of it. I've got logic, reaper, and ezdrummer/superior drummer and I cant get my kick to sound that good. Of course mine are electronic but I should be able to sample something that sounds like that. Is that pro tools? I cant tell from the distance?
@TreyBDrums Жыл бұрын
Reaper - all the way. I have no clue on how to even load a project in ProTools. You have most of what I've got. I use EZ through Superior D3 but I blend the f*ck out of kick and snare. Those are the meat obviously. I don't even go back but I wanna say if I were to look, even 2 years ago - kick was CLEARLY nothing but sample and the snare was huge. I am trying to steer more toward a fitting sound for each track but my kick ear is just heavy by nature. No engineer would let me leave the premises using the sounds I use on an album 🤣🤣🤣🤣. My compressor of choice is JST Glue. LOVE that
@aggressiveaccents Жыл бұрын
@@TreyBDrums What kick are you using in EZ/Sup? I try my best to match all my sounds as well although like you, I LOVE the kick to be as fat and punchy as possible and you nail it in almost all your vids. Thanks for the reply man.
@TreyBDrums Жыл бұрын
@@aggressiveaccents My bad dude - I'll look when I get home. I can't remember what I went with on this one. I change 'em up based on the song just to vibe a little more with what my ears think fits. And that's what's so cool about all that because what I hear isn't what someone else mixing would hear. That said, they can come out with a totally different sound that kicks my ass and I love it when that happens!!!
