That is a great hike! We did it in mid January. I also highly recommend the Seven Falls in Catalina mountains just to the north east of Tucson by Oro Valley. The Catalina’s have lots of great hikes but Seven Falls was the best. They also have the 9000 foot Mount Lemmon, which was still completely snowed in when we were there.
