The southernmost grove of quaking aspen is supposed to be very close to where your video starts. I went there one late October hunting for it, but had no luck. All of my information told me, however, that it's about a mile in from Bear Rocks.

That's interesting. I didn't even know there was quaking aspen in that area. I remember seeing a ton of it when I lived out west.

Sir, I would avoid Turkish territory, especially Eastern Turkish terrirtory. You and I, myself would stand out as Westerner. Best advice, maing 🎉

Ive been to turkey a couple times already. I haven't had any issues so far. I definitely don't intend to go near the Syrian or Iraqi borders if I do go back.

I would love too! Unfortunately it's not easy to get out there to hike them now that I'm back on the east coast. Hopefully I can at some point.

Did you book everything yourself, or did you use a travel agent or a tour service?
@ethanshikingchannel738229 күн бұрын
I booked everything myself. The flights were a bit difficult to coordinate to get cheaper prices, and the machu picchu tickets need to be bought in advance at least 3 months ahead of time on the government of Peru website. everything else was pretty straight forward.

I love the spruce knob Seneca rocks area. I’m from northern Virginia originally but moved to Colorado in 2017 which is when I found your channel. I forgot about your channel for a while since KZbin never sent notifications but it’s a trip knowing you close to the east coast. Loved your old rag video as I’ve hiked that mountain most of my visits when I’m there around Christmas

I did this hike once per year back when I lived in Pittsburgh and it was awesome. I never climbed up that disembodied rock wall section to the true summit though, thanks for showing what it looks like from there!

It was definitely one of my favorites ive done in wv to date.
You might try shooting in a wide angle mode, many of the shots are tight in and when you move the camera around it make it a bit dizzy. Otherwise thanks for taking us along.

Wow, Thanks for the video. I have spent a lot of time on that mountain as a skier and ski instructor from the late 60's to the mid 80's. I actually did that hike to the summit in the summer of 1970. What an experience and, you are right, the view from the summit is absolutely awesome. Brings back a lot of very fond memories.

@laytonthompsonhunter75837 ай бұрын
Thank you for letting me relive some old memories of the time I spent in El Paso TX. This was a different trail.but i enjoyed it a lot. I used to walk all over the tops of the mountains at McCulloughgan canyon I loved climbing around on the rocks and I always had to see what was at the top of the mountain beautiful views standing in one spot I could see two states and two countries all in one view. For this Florida boy it was breathtaking it was a awesome place.
