Two reasons I'm jealous, you guys still have plenty of crate recycling and the packers on these RLs can operate in gear, must keep the efficiency up on this kind of work being able to pack on the move! I applaud the runner's efforts, quick and neat, knows what he's doing, especially love the strategy when he slides multiple crates to the truck and empties them at once - the simplest act to look like a champion haha Usually the driver beeps the horn where I am when a car is on approach out of view, noticed this guy uses the brakes instead @ 1:15 :D Don't think I've ever seen a driver up there retract the blade like at 4:14, usually that's never shown in a video, sounds just as good as a full blown revving pack cycle anyway. Bloody wish I could still run behind RLs down here and do crate recycling, what a job :P

This crated recycling is fading fast, unfortunately. This city went automated last November. The ingest operation is definitely something that I take for granted. It's the little things in this job that save the most time. Most guys use brakes as a warning that a car is coming up. A lot of crazy drivers out here. I'm hoping that I can get a route like this, it's funny that you say that because most of the guys say manual recycling is harder than any other route.
