I think in this case it’s more of a BMW fault as if they won’t pay for it, dealers won’t fix.

Sorry to hear that Marek, I had the same experience with my new BMW Mini, not to mention the service desk man just feeding me a load of lies, I hated the whole new car dealer experience. My old Micra which I've had for 14 years now has never missed a beat and has been serviced by me every now again for very little money.

Just finished the whole video and I’m of the same opinion. I always use a good independent these days. Had one too many run ins with Audi main dealerships that have put me off for life.

I will continue to service it my self with a specialist doing planned maintenance so I have receipts and full history.

Also dealing with this horrible wastegate rattle too, horrible noise especially on cold start. Sounds like an old French car from the 90's. BMW told me it's a feature of the car too 😂

Been there with the Main Dealer to my friend. First time they managed to scratch the front bumper down to the primer and tried to get out of it. Luckily I’d asked the service advisor to walk around the car when I dropped it off. When she came back from holiday and confirmed it was damage free at drop off they then reluctantly agree to repair it. Mistakenly I got two new tyres and thought I’d give it to the mail dealer to change over the fronts thinking they’d have upped their game. Nope, collected the car and checked the wheels, they’d used a screwdriver to ‘gouge’ off the old weights leaving it marked. Straight into the dealer and front wheels repaired. Changed main dealer (still in warranty) and thankfully far better customer service.

I always leave two printed sheets in the car saying please do not wash in addition to telling the adviser when booking in. Unfortunately when it goes wrong at a BMW dealer it goes really wrong. I would contact BMW uk and perhaps attach a copy of your vlog to the email. I have found particularly from forums that the level of service you receive from BMW varies greatly from dealership to dealership.

This concerns me a lot. Keep a good eye on it, check they haven't left something loose in the crankcase breather circuit and I would keep a regular check on your oil level for a month or two. Also check there's no oil on the underside of your bonnet.

Real shame this mate. I had this issue with my previous BMW (Z4) asked the dealership not to wash it. Completely ignored me ended up with a big scratch across the black roof. Just to p*ss me off more I had grease all over my steering wheel where they had changed the tyres

Just wish you continued this series… my BMW sounds 100% like this but keeps saying Drive Train malfunction drive moderately… I just replaced my waste gate and it didn’t solve the problem… actually made it worse!? Im wondering if it’s really the turbo or not because there is a lack of acceleration.

Your pride and joy of a ride is just someone else's chore. You should ask the dealer to do something about the mechanic that worked on your car as they 1. did not read your note re: not washing. 2. dropped something with oil in the engine bay (they're suppose to cover it while servicing 3. did not clean up. I would be taking that baby straight to a specialist mechanic ASAP - chances are that same mechanic also didn't screw shit back on correctly.... It's not always the mechanic's fault either, alot of the time it's the poor servicing engineering design that german brands do...they care about it looking nice, latest tech.... NOT bothered to design for reliability or ease of servicing...afterall, the harder it is to work on, more hours for mechanics to charge the customer!

that bonnet needs resprayed, you will never remove the scratch completely. I bought my comp last march and I will never take it to the dealership. always a specialist.

@@MDrives if you can feel the scratch with your finger nail that’s not good. A decent detailer will be able to soften the edges (that’s what’s reflecting the light and making so visible) but if not then a repaint I’m sorry to say😢

Hi Marek, If you dont mind me saying but you're being far too nice and forgiving. The initial fault should not be accepted and what happened to your cars bodywork whilst at the dealer is appalling. You should write to BMW HQ and complain about the level of service you've recived from your local BMW dealer. BMW Headquarters, Petuelring 130, 80809 München, Germany Honestly, you have nothing to lose. Good luck.

They can stick that mug where the sun don't shine. Get a detailer to look at the car to see if the paint can be rectified then go back to BMW with there findings . before you do it yourself! Also do BMW think that the bonnet was ok after there so called paint correction
