What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for KZbin, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! Yes you could easily afford the crucible i was able to get it very early. The trader nerf was needed. Making money isnt difficult you can gathe resources and sell them. A stack of stone is like 1.2k dukes, polymer sells really well, same for brass. Before anyone says something about ammo just run infested quests of tier 2 or tier 3 for easy ammo and dukes. Those quests arent difficult. Better barter isnt needed, daring Adventurer isnt needed. Enforcer glasses and cigar is usually enough the added bonus from sugar butts and awesome sauce obviously make it even better. Folks just seem to get stuck in this only one way of doing things and dont bother looking for other methods.

I have Better Barter ar 2, the preacher hat, and I swap out one hat mod for the cigar at the trader and bought the crucible for 11,100. If I had a Sugar Butts it would have been even less.

Kage, i really can't stress how useful parkour is. It almost makes you unkillable simply because you can jump up onto high fences and roofs. Walk into a POI and run into a few dogs ..... that's ok you can just jump up onto the roof or over the fence to safety. I was playing on insane in the wasteland at night smashing cop cars open with a game stage of over 800 and i was still able to handle it because of parkour.

craft 3 pieces mining set: outfit-helmet-gloves and go mine whatever. sell 3 stacks of stone per trader. buy crucible. Can do the same with meat. basic stuff sells for a lot in stacks.

Indeed my Good Sir... One full day in the snow biome with Harvest Perk and some slaying.... 19 stacks of Meat later... With Allllll the bartering stuff like Awesome sauce, Sugar Butts, Magnum Drawn.... enforcer Glasses and Better Barter... Almost 39k Dukes

Guns Nerds and Steel had a fun idea, keep the lower gas usage gloves (Enforcer) in your vehicle's "glove box" (storage) and put them on and switch back as you use the vehicle. It's the one armor item I actually remember to switch back and forth pretty consistently.

I spent one day driving around searching and breaking down cars and selling everything but the books and gas. I made enough money to buy a crucible and a Chem station and still had almost a full stack of dukes after.

To make fast money wrench cars, Scrap the Engines and radiators and sell the Mechanical Parts, Brass, Headlights and Oil. Each stack of those items sell for a LOT. As for brass, if you need it in the future just smelt some dukes. EDIT: Also if you are not using a lot of polymer (for arrows) then a stack of that sells good too.

Kage treasure maps are where all the dukes are at. You may get unlucky with the ones that have nuggets, but I've opened one with 19k dukes and 500+ ammo.

Before the grandkids came over for the weekend, I unlocked the motorcycle. I made it immediately. Can't wait to get back to using it! 50 more magazines to go (I think) before I get my truck, have my bike! Combining Awesome Sauce with Daring Adventure is the way to go with 1.0. Before I normally went with only DA, and sold all my AS, but now? Ugh. I even hit the ATMs and cash registers for the money, but even they don't have as much as they used to. It's crazy and I'm having to prioritize things differently. That is the right way to go, if you can make it, don't buy it. Keep the cloth!!!!! I'm serious, Kage. You need so much of it to make certain items in the game it's ridiculous. And if you don't want to collect grass and cotton... well, keep the damn cloth. A lot of loot drops only gives you 2-5 pieces at a time? Ugh. I don't want to add mods yet, because of the incoming updates, but I am tempted to grab a storage increase one just so I can carry more stuff, for cloth especially!

At 21:15 you looted the 4 drums on the pallet but the 1 drum lying down is a separate entity that can be looted as well. Also, the corpses that are already dead in a room can be harvested just like the bone piles.

If you want a really good way to make a ton of Dukes quickly, go out wrenching cars for a day (preferably while wearing some scavenging gear and using hackers candy to get the bonuses), then craft stacks of Minibike Handlebars. These stack to 50 Handlebars per stack and the trader will buy up to 3 stacks. Each stack of 50 can sell for upwards of 27,000 Dukes if you use a Sugar Butts candy, Bartering drink, and the .44 bartering bonus. There is also a head armor that boosts the selling by another 5%. This means, if you actually make 3 full stacks of handlebars, that would earn you nearly 85,000-90,000 Dukes.

As far as I remember, I don't think you have to power attack gore piles to one-shot them. Just a left click one-shots them. I could be wrong.

A tiny thing. When at the trader you don't have to mouse over to the arrow button to get to the second page of items in a list. You can mouse wheel down and back on those pages. They might have added that teensy tiny "quality of life" feature and you'd never know it.

ELECTRICAL PARTS!!! You can harvest anywhere from 50 to 200 electrical parts from a POI depending on type (Businesses are better than homes) & tier. All you need is a wrench (and repair kits for larger POI's). Make sure you harvest everything, lights, ceiling fans, appliances, generators, water heaters, cash registers AND their barcode scanners, cars, everything that does or would use electricity. Electrical parts sell for 6 dukes a piece at base value. It's not a lot but when you can harvest over 250 electrical parts a day from about 3 POI's, while still completing jobs for the trader, and gaining other loot to sell, you can make 10000 dukes in about a day and a half to two days. Using a preacher hat and awesome sauce and/or sugar butts, and putting points into Better Barter, you can boost the value of electrical parts. (I believe max possible is 10 - 12 dukes a piece). Add harvesting brass items like radiators, sinks, and doors (when you get the book that allows harvesting doorknobs), and scrapping them into brass and selling them can add another 500 to 1000 dukes. Later game these are useful to make ammo though, where as you should never need more than 80 electrical parts at any time to craft something. The 4x4 and gryo take 80 each to craft with no points into Grease Monkey. So if you're looking to get that expensive item at the trader, just grab a wrench, and get to work.

Cash registers are really good for dukes and old cash. I see a lot of streamers skipping over them, and 5 minutes later, mention their duke shortage. Look for the drawer to be closed to loot them.

It's not that hard to get cash. It's not as easy as it used to be, but it's doable. Make a scavenger set, make a ratchet or impact driver, wrench everything, then sell polymers, electrical parts, mechanical parts, oil and springs. I mean, anyone who wrenches as he goes will have stacks of these, but you don't. A slightly more exploitative way is to craft stacks of bicycle handlebars (50, iirc). You can sell up to three full stacks to each trader.

Kage you get more leather and mechanical parts from office chairs when you scrap them in your inventory vs with a wrench. Leather is 6 to 2 difference

Don't know if the recipe changed in 1.0 but you need testosterone which is somewhat rare in loot, can be harvested from bears. You also need a lot of plant fiber, which isn't hard to get. But you need the book to make it.
