I hope this is not uncalled for and I apologise if that's the case, but I couldn't help but notice you wash and rub the length of your hair. I did so myself for many years until I found out that's is actually pretty damaging and completely unnecessary. We are supposed to just wash the scalp and let the shampoo rinse down the length of the hair. :)

You mean to tell me that’s why I have breakage? 😅 I’ll try that! Thank you for the tip.
@TracyD23 жыл бұрын
I was going to disagree with you partly but after I watched the whole video. Yes personally you don’t have to wash the lengths.
@honestmomvlog Жыл бұрын
I was just gonna say this (I’m a licensed cosmetologist). If you feel you need to was the ends on occasion due to swimming in a pool or if you got the ends muddy or dusty then a gentle rubbing in downward motion will do the job. But for the most part the water and shampoo on your scalp and rinsing out should be enough 😊.

Yes! I also have hard water. I have learned that if I keep my head and the shampoo bar under the running water while starting the lather it helps the process along quite a bit. I use the same technique for the conditioner. I hope that helps!

Girl don’t hesitate, buy them! They are amazing and have totally transformed my hair. I now have an Arsenal of expensive product that I won’t use, including Kerastase, because this stuff has given me glorious hair. If you have oily hair go for the Citrus ( my favorite). If only your scalp is oily then get the citrus shampo, but the conditioner bar get in any of the other scents. I promise you, you won’t go back! It’s HG.

I use them and love them. Im on the delivery system. I swap it out and try different scents. So easy to do, and skip orders, or change the delivery times. I’ve always been blessed with good hair, but it can get a bit dry in the summer when I highlight. I bought them for all the reasons you stated. Cruelly free is top on the list. I don’t use the bamboo holder, instead I put them into those small bags that jewelry often comes in. The net type, for lack of a better word. What is that fabric! Works great. Can use them without removing from the bag and then hang to dry. Keeping them dry when not in use is important. Just found your channel and subscribed. 🌱🌏🚿🧼💚♻️

I would love to know about them also. If you have tried them I would love to know. When I first started trying to go plastic-free I noticed that the shower was filled with plastic, so that is where I started. After all this time, the only thing I haven't been able to replace in the shower is the body wash. My son uses a loofa because of eczema and insists on using body wash. I would LOVE to know if this can be a plastic-free compromise for us.

@@WasteRectified Ok I ordered the Ethique concentrated bars and received them yesterday. I got two body washes, a conditioner, and shampoo. I "made" them last night. The first one was tricky, and I wondered if it was worth it but by the third batch, I was a pro, I figured out the best way to do it and from the first one to the third one (I only have three bottles) there was a huge difference in the time and effort it took. Very small learning curve. I purchased the body wash in unscented and the Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner. (I also got the body wash that has the lavender and vanilla on the picture, but I haven't made that one yet) The unscented body wash is in fact unscented. Even more so than other soaps that are unscented but still have a soapy smell. I wasn't sure what it was going to small like since it has coconut on the picture online. And even though the Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner has a lavender flower and mint leaves on the picture, it smells EXACTLY like tea tree scented shampoo. I am going to try them today and tell you how I like them. Be back...
