Close to Independence Monument, Wat Lanka is one of the oldest wats in the city founded around 1440 which derives its name from Sri Lanka. First established as a sanctuary for holy writings and a meeting place for Cambodian & Sri Lankan monks, the wat was name to honor these meetings

What a beautiful temple...... I have been Cambodia 7 years ago for Phnom Penh and Ankor Wat but what a shame that I just passed by here. I hope next time I could travel alone and worship the Master Buddha here. Namo buddhaya!

Hi thanks for your support. Wat Lanka is a beautiful pagoda, right in the middle of the city. There are guided meditation sessions for all those who are interested. It's on of the most open pagodas where everyone is welcome to spend time. Very calm, quiet and tranquil place. Definitely worth a visit on your next visit. Cheers!
