I got teary eyed when the festival captain lady even noticed Kuroki and didn't get weirded out! I started screaming "THERE'S A CHANCE! TAKE IT!" Then when she was hugged and was all "whatever" to it I'm all "NOOO!!! CHERISH THAT MOMENT KUROKI! FOR ME!! FOR MEEE!!!" Needed to listen to this one more time after reading the latest chapter (Imae's post-graduation hug with Tomoko). I hope she shows up again at the end of the series, I'd love for her to see how much Tomoko is sure to have grown by then, though she'll probably never know how much of that will have been due to her influence. Well,since the manga is still ongoing it makes sense they would leave the ending quite open...though they plant the seeds to future events in the manga (the anime just covers the first year of Tomoko) stuff starts to happen during her second year and now she’s currently a third year,which man...there are many things I would love for people to see (and by that I mean the anime watchers). Specially when we get to see the event from episode 11 (manga chapter I think 25) in a much later chapter and that moment is also one that made us manga readers cry and yearn for another season just to see that moment animated...
