I had the pleasure of meeting Alex when I worked at the NZ Drumshop back in 2011 in Auckland the day of their show, we had a little drum geek out in the shop which was so cool, he was such a rad down-to-earth dude! I'd bought an SJC kit the previous year and got a SJC tattoo on my arm when it arrived, he noticed straight away which helped kick the whole thing off as he'd made the switch not long before 😁
