CORRECTION: This has PU leather and microfibre leather, this one does not have calfskin. I still love it, but we will have to see how it wears.

This is a pretty bag. I expected you to say it was at least $200! I completely agree, I love all handbags! I love bags for the shape, the color, and how they make me feel. The brand comes second.

Black watch tartan is such a classic. There’s also something to be said for carrying a lesser priced bag and the freedom that brings, as well as having a bag that’s more unusual.

I was exactly the same ,as I, for years was a designer bag snob. Through those years, I loved amazing leather and styles of bags I would see. Something in me still just wanted to use my lv bags which I did for years. Then something clicked and I started loving bags again for their style and leather, real and vegan, canvas or nylon. So I totally get it.

Hi! I loved many many bags for about 50 years before I got hooked on high end luxury bags. I say high end referring to the very high price points but to me luxury is also Coach, Dooney, MK, Tory, MJ…but that’s just me. Very pretty and unique bag. Enjoy!

You know, you are right, those brands are also luxurious and I was just silly to think they weren't. I was probably about 50 before I started liking anything more than Coach. I am glad I am finally to a place where I realize luxury is what *I* feel is luxurious. :-) There is beauty in so many things and it is really limiting to count stuff out. I think I am always learning and I hope growing.

I love your new bag! I’m actually part Irish/Scottish. I’m considered black scot because I have black hair and hazel eyes instead of red hair blue eyes. I’m definitely going to look into that brand! Hopefully they’re online as well! And P. S. Your husband sounds adorably sweet!

Oh, Jame, what a cute bag! Black Watch is such an elegant tartan. I liked the bag so much that I looked it up. Unfortunately, IrishShop describes the leather as “microfiber leather,” which to me says “not leather.” Such a disappointment. I hope the material wasn’t actually described to you as calfskin. 😕

Oh great catch. Actually, I had looked up some of their bags and the one I had looked at did have calfskin. However, you are correct, this one doesn't. That is a bummer, I will have to see how it ends up wearing.

Great question. I really am not familiar with PU leather. I can tell you it smells like real leather and it feels very durable. I am looking forward to seeing how it wears..as I love the bags they have. :-)

Hi🤗 I ordered two of them islander bags cause I think they are such statement pieces - waiting for them to get here now - that they are made with PU leather doesn’t bother me, all our LVs in monogram canvas are coated with PVC 🤷‍♀️ was wondering if you still use yours and what you think.. Oh welcome!!! I am so glad you found me. Yes, I am still using the islander bag. It is just so perfect for winter and it has worn beautifully. :-) I usually change my bag each week and I think it is what I will use next week. :-)
