Watch as Jimmy Carter funeral procession makes final journey through Plains, GA

Former president Jimmy Carter made his final journey home Thursday afternoon as his funeral motorcade passed through downtown Plains, Georgia. After a private funeral service, at Maranatha Baptist Church the motorcade made a stop near Plains High School so the Carter Family could disembark and walk behind the late president’s hearse. The procession then traveled along North Bond Street, turned right onto U.S. Highway 280 and finished at Carter’s longtime home residence for a private interment. People and law enforcement officers lined the route. Here are excerpts of the procession.
