Ross: I do not have a trail camera but I do have a bird feeder that records. It goes to my I Phone. Kids got it for us for xmas. Works really well. You can save the movies also. Program is called "Bird Lover. Takes bird seed also. PS: got lots of videos of my face filling the feeder.

Haha! I've seen those. I'm looking for more of an always recording camera, but I don't have WiFi or power available unless I do some solar +battery set-up. Have an awesome day

Cameras are getting better, but still have not found a perfect camera. Cell phone cameras don't want to send videos over network due to the large size of the files. Good luck....😮
@RossOnTheLand5 ай бұрын
@rockandrattleretreat5830 ya that's what I'm afraid of, I'll probably go with a mobile solar battery station with a WiFi security camera. Thanks.

We have 10 trail cameras, mainly GardePro E5 but we also have a CamPark TC22. They are both good cameras. We do not have the coverage to be able to use cell cameras. The only issue we have had is batteries, we now use an external battery for our GardePro cameras and the solar panel on the CamPark is fantastic
@RossOnTheLand5 ай бұрын
Oh excellent! Can they record longer than 10 seconds? Can it record at 1080p? Thank you.
@GardenTractorBoy5 ай бұрын
@@RossOnTheLand The GardePro E5 can be set to record 3secs to 5mins and is 1080p. It is not top of the range but best value for money. The CamPark TC22 is a solar powered 4k camera and can be set to record 5secs to 180secs. We have our cameras set to 20 secs because they will trigger again if the animal is still in shot. My sister has a KZbin channel with the content if you want to check the quality. Her channel is @WildlifeTrailcamUK sadly she deletes footage of tractors

@GardenTractorBoy oh yes! I remember you mentioning her channel a few times. I'll check it out. Thanks for the info

OK...FIRST thing...that opening music made me want to put my earring back in, spike my hair and do the slam dance! What an EXCELLENT 80's throwback. 👍 As to trail cams, I had a different brand but experienced very similar issues to yours...delayed starts, capturing the ass-end of creatures leaving the frame, and simply not capturing (not even triggering) despite tracks that clearly indicated passing wildlife. I finally gave up on them. Thankfully, we finally got high-speed internet at the overlook and so I use powered, wireless cameras now. Much better result, although I realize that doesn't really work in you application.

Glad you liked the music lol. Yes I'm planning on doing a solar WiFi set-up. Thanks Chris lol.

Nice Review Ross and a lot of valid points I’ve been using game cams for about Ten years I just recently bought the SPYPOINT and my review of it and others come out on Sunday I will tell you spy point is probably not the best cell camera and the price point is a bit deceiving after you purchase all the things not included But it does have pretty good quality video and it is nice when viewing from your couch without going to the woods Notification and transfer time are Longgggg but could be my satellite WiFi Anyway let me know if you find something better out there
@RossOnTheLand5 ай бұрын
Hi Phil! Thank you, I will watch for sure. I got this one for the 1080p and I seem to remember the Spy Point only 720p.. video. I think I mY do a small solar and battery station with wifi repeater to my house and add more cameras that way. We'll see. Much appreciated

Excellent review Ross. I don't have any trail cams but I do want to install some. I cdn understand your disappointment, a ten second record time and a slow reponse, you are definitely not capturing what you would expect to. The avi is not such a big deal, an avi to mp4 converter would help out. I like the idea of a cell cam. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
@RossOnTheLand5 ай бұрын
Thanks Paul! I find it strange that they haven't improved further. I can and have converted them but it's an extra step that in this day and age should not be needed. But it is what it is.

Yup. I have a browning trail cam and same issue. @retiredforlife @twinbrookacers have some good videos on trail cams. I know Brian really likes his. Thanks for sharing Ross. Cheers, Mike.

Hi Mike, yes been watching Brian's videos. I'll have to check out some of the other cameras, but I really want t to go with a solar powered wifi station

@@RossOnTheLand if your wifi reaches out there . Maybe a Ring Cam Plus Battery camera. I have one and with two batteries in it lasts for two months before a charge is needed. Just a thought

If only I could get paid to sit and watch nature. That would be amazing. I'm sure something is wrong with this cam. Rosscam would work perfectly! Lol.
