Watch Before You Buy EXOFORMA PERMASHINE Tire Dressing

I applied Exoforma's Permashine to my Falken Wildpeak Tires and I did not get the results I was expecting. You and I know that commercials will and can be misleading or hide the "do not". If you're an off-roader like me, don't expect this product to hold up. This tire dressing is only for pavement princesses. It's also very tedious to apply to A/T and M/T style tires, due to the aggressive tire tread and raised lettering. Take a look as I put this tire shine to the test!

You applied it all wrong. Read the instructions and watch the video on how to do it properly. No spray bottle and you must use a stiffer microfiber sponge to apply. You must clean the tire super clean first. Then apply the coating and you do not buff it if you want a high shine. Do multiple layers to get higher shine and then must wait 24 hours before it gets wet. Reading instructions tion is important before bashing it in a video!

I had a great result with Permashine. Took about an hour of prep work which included degreasing the tirea and taping off my wheels then about another 2 hours of applying 2 solid coats and a light touch up coat. I used the product on Falken AT3s and was impressed.

I just applied permashine today on my 2014 lexus es350. I used mothers back to black tire cleaner 3x's then pressurewashed the shit out of the tires so no cleaning agent was left behind to weaken the bond. They looked new, got ALL the brown out of the tires so all the pores would accept the product properly. Layed 1 thin coat and 20 minutes later added the 2nd thin coat. I am remaining hopeful, but my brother prep is everything! I also waited 3hrs before driving and also it does say do not get wet for at least 24hrs. I could see the brown still on your tire even in the not so good lighting in your video. PREP, PREP, PREP! Thanks for the video of how to not apply permashine.

Did you watch the video or just look at it??? I drive an off-road vehicle with 33” mud terrain tires that is clearly not a pavement princess. I started at the end of the video that this product is not meant for my application. I’m not going to spend 17 days prepping my tires just to have rocks, trees, ditches, snow/ice, mud, etc, stop it off after one off-road run. This was merely a video just to show you more than the ads/commercials do…🤷🏾‍♂️

I actually do not feel his pointing out what happened with the water spots was "bashing" the product, Esquire. Additionally, at the end of the video he provided an unbiased opinion of the product where he explained it just was not best for HIS application! Personally, I was impressed with his real world approach to using the product, as I'm sure that is what 98% of the purchasers are going to do... wash, dry, and apply. Furthermore, the ads for the product would lead one to believe those are the only steps necessary; regardless of what the instructions may or may not say regarding prep. Maybe if you applied the same scrutiny to the original advertiser, and advertisement, as you have applied to the respondent, your opinion might be a little different.

Man this is a DAMN GOOD review!!! You took an honest and real world approach to using the product! This is EXACTLY what about 98% of the customers will do! Wash the tire then apply the product, cause that's what REGULAR folks do!! Yeah yeah I'm sure if you took 30 mins prepping EACH tire to make sure every last bit of road grime and grease or oil or regular ole every day grit is off the tire, THEN let it sit in a garage outta the elements for 24+ hours before driving, yeah it'll prob perform as advertised. HOWEVER, that ain't reality! So thank you for the real world review! This was EXACTLY what i was looking for prior to purchasing!! Much respect!! ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿

See, you get it💯this product requires a whole production for it to possibly work as advertised. Too much work for me haha. Here’s the kicker too, I use my rig off-road and folks missed that part or have no idea what that entails. My tires get beat up in those elements and this product would get rub, scraped, scratched, and peeled off. While this product may be good for regular street vehicles and mall crawlers, 99% of real off-road rigs don’t even use tire shine products cause it’s gonna come right off! Or at least, they not about to spend all that time applying it for it not to last 30mins into a trail haha. Like you said, this is not a product for my application 👌🏾 thanks for being a real one 💯

@ownyourrecreation no doubt!! I was looking for someone who actually used the product as opposed to it being sent to them to demo. ALSO someone who's not a professional detailer. I'm not about to, and most regular folks ain't either, spend **30 MINUTES** prepping one tire just for thy sole purpose of applying tire shine!! If it was advertised as professional grade with a multi step application process, I dare say you wouldn't even have purchased it to try it. But hey, I'm just a regular guy trying to use common sense! This vid was made over the span of a week. So, different day from application to the rainy day. Over 24 hrs… The rain spots did kinda go away. Overall, the product didn’t last past the off-road test.

When I saw you out there in the mud I thought you was out in the south somewhere but then I saw the trees and was like that looks like WA. lol But just wanted to mention there's a car care company called Optimum Polymer Technologies (OPT) and they have a tire coating called "Tire Protection & Coating" that came out about 4 years ago. I'm pretty sure this stuff is whitelabeled from them cause we weren't seeing this stuff before their product. Anyway, I tried it on my daily and prep was a lot but it lasted a good while. You gotta scrub them puppies a few times with something like Super Clean until all the browning is gone and then you can apply the coating. Much easier on street tires. Definitely a nightmare on mud tires. When the coating on my tires was about done I think I ended up using mineral spirits to get the remaining coating completely off.

Great video! I watched the whole thing. Even with pointing out the rain spots, he wasn't bashing the product! Also, gave an honest non-biased opinion at the end where he explained how the product just wasn't best for HIS application, but that it might be just fine for others! I don't think I heard one negative related directly to the product. Only explained how it wasn't best for him. GOTTA respect honesty and not over hyping or over bashing!

I've found that using a cheap product like Turtle Wax tire shine diluted 50% with distilled water and sprayed on with a fine mist sprayer works awesome. You don't even have to wipe it or spread it around. After washing, let the tires dry a little and fog the whole tire and fender liner. You can experiment with different brands to get the look and shine level you want. One of the best is Meguiars Hyper Dressing that can be diluted up to 4 to 1 to give you the perfect level of gloss for your taste. Plus it is super cheap per application when diluted (like $20 per gallon).

@@Fuelnomenal I'm old and I've tried everything....nothing is going to work well in mud, water, etc. Heck, most tire shine products don't even last 2 weeks if the vehicle is stored outdoors let alone rain, washes, etc. Easiest method is to try the Maguiars Hyper Dressing and try different ratios to find the shine you like. Since it is so cheap you can fog the outside and inside of the tires with a sprayer once a week and keep everything looking good. It should take less than 30 seconds a tire since you're no rubbing or spreading the product. Just get everything wet and walk away. If you do see some minor streaking or spots you can use a damp cloth to blend everything together since the Hyper Dressing is water based. You can also spray your fender liners, engine compartment, etc....this is what a lot of professional detailers use. If you want a product to spray on the chassis, body and suspension components, the dirt circle track racers use a mud release spray called Mud-X, Mud Off and I'm sure there are others. Pam cooking spray also works well.

Have you ever seen the commercials or social media post for this product??? Check out the bit where they put mud on the tire and then wash it off. That’s what I was testing. The mud actually came off pretty easy, but so did the product haha

Maybe your right, but remember that this is an off-road vehicle and them tires have been in the elements. Basically, this product is meant for pavement princesses. It’s way too much work to get it perfect just to have rocks, trees, mud walls, ice ponds, and other elements literally strip and scrape it off. I did mention it’s prob a good product, just not for off-road use🤷🏾‍♂️
