Hero Vida Pro Users for 1 year. Here's my review - 1. The limp home issue is real. I have faced it 3 times but they happened when I was at 15-20km/hr speed so no accidents. I figured out this issue happens mostly for those who charge their batteries by removing them and charging them separately in their homes. If you remove your battery too much for charging, it may happen (this is my guess) 2. Button qualities are the worst, never expected this quality from HERO because the plastic quality is literally like toys. When you pay 1+ lac for a scooter, expectations are much higher. 3. The ignition & sit opening button stuck issue occurs whenever it rains. You have to wait until your scooty is dry and the button pops up again or you need to tap a lot before it pops up. 4. The tablet is literally useless. I have never used it for doing anything. Google map navigation is a joke because there should real map navigation and not just directions. 5. Charging issue - Sometimes you can remove the battery and charge it but the green charging light simply won't appear and your battery won't charge. 6. Water in Boot - I don't know why but water appears in the boot randomly. 7. Key stuck issue - My key to open the battery section often gets stuck while closing. I have to physically press the lock down to get my key out. 8. Boot close issue - Closing the boot is a task since it won't lock easily. You have to press from the middle or punch in the middle to lock it. 9. App - The app is literally made by some kids may be, because undergrads can make an app better than the official app right now. It hangs a lot, gives false information, and is pretty much useless. 10. Worst after sale support team - You can call them, chat with them, do whatever you want but you won't get more than a robotic script reply. Any fault in the scooty could take weeks before it is resolved. I gave my scooty once for service I got it after 23 days. The reason was - "Naya scooty hai parts banne mei time lagta hai" These are a few from the top of my head. Definitely, this scooter has a lot of potential but unfortunately, it's not there yet. Pros - 1. Riding Experience is good. The performance is really good. The throttle is smooth. 2. Removing the battery and charging them at home is good for those who reside in flats. Overall performance wise I have no complaints but the Cons are unavoidable.

Great video, the limp home issue is really life threatening because i have myself faced it multiple times, i have avoided major accidents 2-3 times i was riding the vehicle at 35-40 kmph and suddenly it got stopped in the middle of the road and luckily the vehicle which was behind me was able to brake at the right time or else it would have let to a major accident, i told this to the service centre guys and customer executive but they are taking it as lightly they are not taking it for granted, and the other issue is of the switches it is of really bad quality i regret buying this scooter i had not expected such a product from HERO MOTOCORP its such a shame.

I have a vida v1 plus and I am facing limp home issue from my first ride at the date of purchase. I was moving at 65kmph on highway and it just stopped in the centre of 2nd lane. Luckily it was afternoon and no vehicle was behind me. When limp home occurs, it auto applies the brakes so you will not get any time to get to the side. This is not at all safe and their customer support is useless, they call it a safety feature, not ready to acknowledge the life risk it carries. Why give theseso called features, we don't have them in petrol scooters. How can such reputed and experienced brand do these blunders, they are not new to the industry. Honestly, no one talked so openly about this issue before. This is the best review of vida v1 yet. Hero motocorp, please do something.!!

Agree with all your points but I don't think everyone is facing the LIMP home issue. Regarding LIMP home mode, in my case it came only when I did certain actions like rapid acceleration with boost mode or resuming to higher cruise speed from 30kmph. Basically when the motor was asked to accelerate very rapidly it went into LIMP home mode. So I have disabled boost mode and I am careful while using the cruise resume button to ensure I do not stress the motor too much. Following these steps I have not faced the LIMP home issue again. This is based on my ~1800kms of usage within 1 month of purchase. Also I do not remove my batteries often since I have charging point at my parking so I guess I am safe from the battery loose contact issue, if any.

I will just try to add my experience as well here so this can help others as well. I bought vida V1 pro on June 1st and at the end of the second week itself Bike didn't't switch on, I was frustrated because i was on the road with my family and trying to call RSA for towing vechcile to service centre etc, I even asked to customer if there is any refund or return policy unfortunately there was no such option with one month from buying date. as per service centre guys issue was due to Aux battery Z3 module and simple question to them was like how come new bike aux battery is down in 2 weeks of buying then got to know looks like its like normal issue for many of the vida issuers for some reason they didn't replace my aux battery they just boosted and gave it to me but after 1-2 weeks again i faced issues with manual switch on button and used app to switch on the bike and most of the time spent lot time while switching on the bike it self because aap was also down and manual switch was not working properly. so i went to service center for my first servcie with all of my issues and got it replaced Aux Battery with Z4 module by raising query via email and Twitter since they were not ready to replace Aux battery with normal request. Other issues like I got a limp home error around 6-8 times, the kill switch button just stuck inside even though I don't use that button, switch Quality is poor. After the first service I was getting sound in the 2nd wheel now that the sound stopped but I'm not sure if that was due to the wheel or the motor issue, i recorded video of sound but service center guys suggested to record video with Bike number, chassis number, kilo meter in display as Proper proof to proceed further on replacement etc, felt very bad/sad when they asked me to record video with Chassis number etc since my recorded video is not enough for them to raise my query further but I think they are following the process since Hero need proper proof to replace any accessories, I tried using Map or Navigation for some time but since App is down most of the time hence recently added mobile holder so I can avoid using existing display for Navigation, size of display is actually big but not much usefull.

One of the best, honest and unbiased review of Vida scooter. I have been owning it since almost 6 months and due to poor switches / buttons quality (esp. in rainy season) which result in switches getting jammed and non-usable and life-threatening and critical safety issue of Limp Home error, this scooter should not even be considered for buying. Limp Home issue has many underlying reasons to pop-up and even worst is that it can pop-up any time while driving without any fault in scooter and if diriving on busy road or highway, it drops speed suddenly to 0kmph in 1 or 2 seconds which may cause serious and fatal accident with none of your fault. Save your and your family's life and do not buy this scooter. I don't know why Hero company is not recalling to resolve these critical faults. Govt should force a ban on such dangerous scooter on roads.

My Vida V1 Pro is dumped at Ranjeet Motors workshop for 'limp home' error within few days of buying...hardly 150 kms driven....brand new e -scooter.... company doesn't have single motor replacement nor any procedure to serve customers and 10-15 days is the minimum breakdown time at this service station at Thane with no customer care...or updates....still awaiting HERO service...what brand what service!!!! Day 14 of the breakdown..but not resolution of motor replacement or anything...Fit case of consumer complaint case???

I bought a hero vida with lots of expectations and it let me down in many ways, The first few days were a new and fresh experience of owning an ev. Quick acceleration and good pickup but after 15 days it started showing its true colours, at one point i could not start the vehicle, i tried every damn thing but failed to restart. I booked an RSA that was supposed to pick up the vehicle but could not as they cannot assign it to the nearest service centre, but thanks to the driver who called me and arranged everything from his end. Later when the scooter reached the service centre, the mechanic informed that the auxiliary battery was discharged. I don't know what is wrong with the hero they have made the scooter with uneven gaps, and keyless entry is useless. I had faced limp home issues more often earlier but the hero brings timely updates so that fixed the issue. also RSA is quite helpful as they immediately tow away the vehicle, but the list of issues are quite long and i may fail to sum up. Placement of the charging port, weak horn. Impractical scooter in many ways Speed in eco mode is only 45, rapid decline in range. Hero promised idc range of 165 but it can hardly go 90 to 95, you need to learn a pattern to ride then only it can go as you predicted. Use of brakes clearly affect the range, well buying scooter like vida was not well thought and without any research. also hero is selling vida through online platforms that attracted many buyers and they fell into this trap. However every product has cons and pros, trust me service of hero is far good than ola. They take inputs amd strive to resolve it, but they failed to make a good product. Ather is really good

मैंने vida v1 Plus लिया था 20-25 दिन पहले और स्कूटर को 20 दिन में 2 बार दिल्ली झिलमिल सर्विस सेंटर ले जाना पड़ा ,क्योंकि स्कूटर बिलकुल dead हो गया था ,रोड साइड एसिस्टेंस की हेल्प से towing करवानी पड़ी ,बहुत ही परेशान कर दिया है इस स्कूटर ने ,बेकार स्कूटर है पेट्रोल स्कूटर बेस्ट है एक्टिवा अब लगता है ।10 दिन में सही करके देते है और 5 दिन बाद फिर खराब हो जाता है ।

Limp home is battery connector issue make sure that when ever you put battery it should go some hard noice
