@@My2CentsYall Critical Race Theory got its name from the Marxist based construct known as Critical Theory, created by the Marxist ideologues at the Frankfurt School in Germany. Whereas Critical Theory was designed to ignite a Marxist revolution by the proletariat over the "oppressive" bourgeois, CRT tries to spark a Marxist revolution by telling one or more races that they are "oppressed" by the "system" created by another race. The bigots selling CRT are not genuinely concerned with solving racial inequality. They're using it as a tool to overthrow a legitimate governemnt and replace it with a single party totalitarian government that falsely claims to the "The People's" government. As with every other time a Marxist overthrow of a government, it will result in absolute oppression by power hungry corrupt members of the ruling elite. Marxism: the system that helped slaughter 100 million people over the last century. Marxism: the philosophy of hate and envy. Created by a fat anti-semitic slob that laid around smoking, drinking and cheating on his wife for his entire adult life.

@@hochhaul YOU ARE WRONG. where did you get that crap from. the filters on yahoo suck. This has nothing to do with woke. I hate that term so much because the term is inaccurate and subjective. I deal in only REALITY and REALITY IS our system seem not to be working as intended. The question is do we question them as to why or ignore it, this is the argument being waged. CRT asks the questions. Instead of looking at what CRT does they focus on people asking the question. the people that are asking the question hold some subjective thoughts of America (they do not believe the American experiment is working for black people) The thing is now with CRT it will prove or disprove their belief with study. THIS IS WHAT IT IS ITS NOTHING ELSE. You need to shut up with that crap. A brain cell should tell you something is wrong with that information. Communism will never happen in America because everyone loves wealth and guns too much.
@hochhaul3 жыл бұрын
@@My2CentsYall Nowhere in my response did I say that CRT has anything to do with "woke". And I am 100 fucking percent correct about the origin and intent of CRT. CRT is an identity-based derivative of Critical Theory. Just like CT, CRT was created with the predetermined conclusion that an oppressor created the 'system' to oppress a group and that the obvious solution is to replace the oppressive system with a new 'system' that just happens to be Marxist. Identity is the means and Marxism is the end. Your idea of CRT is the glossy cover used to obscure the true origin and intent of CRT. A bunch of Marxists at a law school took the initial version of CRT and applied it to black Americans, but it started out as a general theory built around identity. It starts with the false conclusion that the "system" doesn't work for black Americans and "asks questions" in order to lead it to the predetermined conclusion that the system needs to be replaced with one that's built around equity. Equity is nothing more than a rebranding of communism -- forcefully confiscating private property from one group and giving it to other groups with the supposed intent of creating equal outcomes. Marxism's central theme is the promise of equal outcome for all. CRT is designed to be a mousetrap. It introduces "questions" and says that if you disagree or dissent, it's because you're an oppressor trying to protect the "system of oppression". Dissent is not tolerated in CRT. Comply and accept that Marxism is the sole solution regardless of the questions asked to get there.

Apart from being racist, Critical Race Theory is as dangerous as it is divisive. Remember the Rolling Stones track, Satisfaction? “And a man comes on and tells me How white my shirts can be But, he can't be a man 'cause he doesn't smoke the same cigarettes as me “? Of course you’ve heard of the brutal violence between rival soccer club fans. And the slaughter of nearly a million Tutsis by their Hutu neighbours? What do these have in common? It’s tribalism. Tribalism is an all too frequent default mechanism in the human animal. Although it can manifest itself in racism, it need not. Freud famously spoke of “the narcissism of small differences.” Almost any difference, in the app circumstances can lead to tribalism and associated violence. CRT IS a very dangerous game. It is demanding that you judge people on the basis of race. Consider that American whites currently have the lowest level of racial consciousness of any racial group, meaning ‘whiteness’ is not a meaningful identity marker for most white Americans. There are Italian-Americans, Irish-Americans but white Americans? Apart from the very small numbers of white nationalists, “whiteness” just doesn’t resonate. In a recent Nation wide survey, Pew found that only 15 percent of whites thought their race was either somewhat important or very important to their identity. For all other groups, Asians, Hispanic and black, that percentage rose to over 50 percent. For blacks, over 74 percent believe race is either important or very important to who they are (pewresearch.org, 5 Feb., 2020). So, unless CRT manages to change things, American whites are the least inclined of any group to identify themselves in racial terms. This is a good thing, a very good thing. Whites represent about 60 percent of the population. You seriously think you can cultivate racial self-awareness in whites and convince them that whiteness is bad? This is not how human beings react to threats to their identity. Privileging one’s own tribe is a human universal. Apart from narcissistic, virtue signalling collage kids, do you seriously expect whites to wage a war on whiteness?? Reminds me of Japanese Admiral Yamamoto’s warning about attacking Pearl Harbour. Critical race theory could all too easily “awaken a sleeping giant”. You’re sure you want whites to start identifying themselves with their race? Hope you’ll check out my book “Deconstructing Social Justice”. I promise you, it’s important.

The critical race theory divisiveness is nicely defined here in John L Cooper’s latest book: This led Horkheimer, Adorno, and the other theorists to become hyper frustrated because the so-called oppressed people weren't nearly as dissatistied as them. Everywhere the critical theorists looked, they saw domination and life-crushing oppression. Yet people were getting happier. Life was getting easier. There was more food, more comforts in life, and humans were beginning to live longer. People weren't up in arms revolting and marching. As with Marx, this means that the job of the theorists is to create conflict and convince as many people as possible that, though they may think themselves happy, they are slaves.

Big part of growing up is realizing in what ways you have freedom and in what ways you do not and deciding which of them matter and how to work around within those limitations to live a life you can appreciate. Most people dislike dying, doesn't make them not die though. Most people hate commuting, but find ways to enjoy that time or use it for self-improvement. Everyone is oppressed, even the people who try to desperately prove themselves to be special like they still have the emotional stability of a 12 year old(most of the top .01%+ of "earners"). The only way to not be oppressed is to not exist. However, all things can be used as fuel to raise yourself higher. If something can oppress you, it has a structure that can be manipulated to make your life better as well.

I was taught that our U.S. Presidents were great heroes who watched over the American people. I was told that Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves. I was taught about how Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, and how the Germans killed the Jews. Then I learned the truth. I learned that Native Americans were living in North America WAY before White people got there. I learned that Native Hawaiians had been on Hawaii over a thousand years before Captain Cook arrived. I learned that White people slaughtered Native Americans both intentionally and unintentionally (by spreading diseases). I learned that many U.S. Presidents were racists and they were slave owners. I learned that Abraham Lincoln gave the "ok" to hang 38 Dakotas. I learned how the U.S. tested over 60 nuclear weapons in the South Pacific, blowing islands off the face of the earth, and contaminating water, air, and soil for generations that continues till today. Thousands of Micronesians suffered nasty cancers, birth defects, and other radiation-related deaths and diseases. So we should NOT be teaching kids to hate one another. However, we SHOULD be teaching kids the true events of history rather than deceiving them like how I was deceived.

That’s not true nor is it about the topic. Kudos to the guy but what does how he or all these other people talking about what they’ve done individually have to do with teaching truth in these classes? People on here so off the point just cause a puppet makes them feel more comfortable about not wanting to address the truth of this country and world from it’s past to it’s present. How can racism be fought if it’s never learned especially when you have the masses thinking they know about racism when they truly have no clue about it. It’s like the people that say “We see no color” Ok, cool then that means you can’t identify racism. Then you have people that don’t know the difference between racism and prejudice which is more than a definition. If I didn’t know what the class was about from looking at everyone’s response I would think it’s a class that they’re saying if you don’t take it you can’t be successful. All these people talking about “I did this I did that”. What does that have to do with truth? If someone gets held back 3 laps in a 4 lap race they overcame which is great but why are people okay with the being held back 3 laps part, just cause some people overcame it? Everyone in this country is conditioned by racism and 90% will say they’re not. Many people have benefited from it knowingly and unknowingly but that’s ok? It’s off the actual topic but the best you can tell kids is to work their hardest to pursue things but the only thing it guarantees is you tried your best and you won’t look back and regret you should’ve tried harder. For all these “I did this I did that people” there’s millions of people that have been set up in a purposeful trap that many are in denial about as well as have no clue of. There’s millions more trying to fight through the obstacles but that’s not the point of the class. The only reason no one cared about slavery, Native Americans, Asians and others facing atrocities as well as many injustices in this country was cause there wasn’t enough covered for anyone to care. That father in the video so wants to please no one caught he used an example of a man that was assassinated and why was he assassinated while people clapped haha. This country and this world. So many people of all colors and races love to achieve what they achieved then act like the many evils of the world don’t exist. How can racism, injustices, inequalities, prejudice and things of that nature be erased if they’re not learned? They can’t. george washington, jefferson are each individually responsible directly or indirectly with more sadistic racist rapes, murders, beatings than all the serial rapists, murders combined but let’s continue with washington never lying and these with others having this monument purposely facing Native Americans. There’s a lot of “self made” people who really actually benefited from their bloodline which is ok but some of that just like a bunch of businesses etc that literally made their living off the backs and blood of others but that’s okay. Every government oppresses but hey that’s ok because we overcame it. When you’re born from evil, rape, murder and the like which this country was born under and that system has never changed but just evolved how do people think that’s going to turn out? Oh we see it but those of us that overcame it’s not a big deal just keep working hard. Reminds me when drugs and gangs were in certain neighborhoods but those outside that area didn’t care and felt like “it’s not here” now look where it’s at. If poison is not stopped it will continue to spread and that’s what happens when we ignore opportunities as a whole to start eradicating evil but the individual says “look at me I made it” so all can. Lol

Why are these liberal teachers pushing this nonsense? Why do they think that projecting their own failures on to others is the right way forward. And yes, 99% of teachers ARE failures. As the old saying goes: Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. I'm a vet but work as an electrical engineer now. I earn over 3 times what a teacher earns in a year, why would I want to be a lecturer when I'm busy designing the world around us? The only time I'd end up lecturing is if no one would hire me as an engineer. We need to scrutinise our teachers more closely because there aren't many good teachers in the ranks. The rare exception are teachers who want to teach because they value the art of teaching and value the children, the rest are just societal rejects and we're leaving the future generations in their care for the majority of the waking hours. Enough. A brighter future starts with brighter children and it won't happen with liberal politically-correct cotton-wool loving grooming racists that are liberal teachers pushing a broken agenda.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers had just released Under the Bridge (showing my age there!) and my best friend had the Chilli Pepper's VHS which had a great break down of that particular song. Made my life much easier! Problem was, I presented to the class and the teacher said I was wrong, and went on to give her analysis of what _she_ thought the song was about which was diametrically opposed to my 100% accurate "plagiarised" analysis.... I told the teacher she was wrong, and foolishly said I had used the Chilli Pepper's video to source my analysis so I was 100% correct. She failed me for that assignment for "plagiarism". I probably should have just accepted the original C grade she was going to give me, but the fact she said I was wrong - when I absolutely wasn't - and how she seemed to enjoy putting me down in front of the class to say _she_ was right, I just couldn't resist! Needless to say, I all but ignored the soft classes moving forward; English, Social Studies etc and focused entirely on what I consider pure subjects; Math, Science etc. It paid off, in spades. Good luck with your degree my friend. You'll have a life full of creativity and you'll get to work on teams with amazing people hopefully. I wouldn't want to be anything other than an engineer. All of society is structured to oppress. All gaps in performance between large groups prove this. The answer is equity. Equal outcome regardless of performance. Essentially people want privileges without earning them. If there are 10 jobs, they should go evenly to people based on identity/etc, not based on performance or experience. It is the downfall of society.

@@samblack5313 Ok. According to the Legal Defense Fund... *Critical Race Theory, or CRT...* is an academic and legal framework that denotes that systemic racism is part of American society - from education and housing to employment and healthcare. Critical Race Theory recognizes that racism is more than the result of individual bias and prejudice. It is essentially an academic response to the erroneous notion that American society and institutions are "colorblind." Critical Race Theory recognizes that racism is embedded in laws, policies and institutions that uphold and reproduce racial inequalities. According to CRT, societal issues like Black Americans’ higher mortality rate, outsized exposure to police violence, the school-to-prison pipeline, denial of affordable housing, and the death rates of Black women in childbirth are not unrelated anomalies. The scholarly framework holds that racism goes far beyond just individually held prejudices, and that it is in fact a systemic phenomenon woven into the laws and institutions of this nation.

This is one privileged person acting as though he is a whole race in America.
@gerhardtblume73542 жыл бұрын

This man is an awesome role model. I grew up lower middle class in a above middle class neighborhood. Lived in the poorer side of town. I am now retired & worked for what I had. I think some kids just don't want to work to get ahead & blame everyone else. If your not willing to put the effort in to making yourself better, you only got yourself to blame.
@GuzmanMPetit7 ай бұрын
Yes and No. The struggle is not the same for everyone, and race is not usually the big IF anymore. Not everyone makes it, the system is not designed for that. Work hard and get ahead is not always an option, even though it is the right way. Your generation had many benefits that we dont have know, and are also because of the choices you took. (income to ownership ratios is what I mean). It is easy to say that. You grew up "lower middle class", and given that you did not mention family issues, I assume you had a good mom and dad. If your dad beats the shit out of you every day he comes home, you think that just "work and get ahead" is all it takes? That you are only to blame for your missfortunes? It is a blind sided point of view. Things are not black and white.

I worked my butt off at 18 inspite of being disabled and my resume looks better than my husbands who is a white male and went to school a lot longer than me but I have more experience and achievements. I can do anything while he is stuck in his field but UNFORTUNATELY the way the system is set up, it was harder for me and my family growing up to become wealthy vs his family who are white, there are 10 of them all together, NONE of them work but somehow they grew up having a HUGE HOUSE with a crazy amount of acres etc. I come from a family of nurses, managers, business owners, inventors but it is still much harder for us to even aquire a 8th of what they have because of the way the system treats us etc. My father in law and his sons don't work at all but still manage to live in a huge house after they sold the old house and it took NO TIME. My parents own businesses and they STILL are having the hardest time trying to move out of their beautiful row home. I also have very rich family who own multiple homes, and I know white people who do not, but I do know that for the MAJORITY of white people and POC of color, it is a lot EASIER for the white majority due to systematic oppression and racism. If you pay attention to current events and recent history you'd recognize that. It's not IMPOSSIBLE for us, but more of a struggle, battle and fight when it shouldn't be so disproportionate! My white friend was looking to sell her home, it was unkempt and old but she got offered more. She found out that her neighbor down the road was also trying to sell her home. We popped in and it was big, modern, recently renovated and beautiful. The same realtor gave her a MUCH smaller quote for her home compared to my friends. This happens ALL of the time to POC there was an experiment on the news several times about it. That is just one comparably VERY SMALL yet disgusting example of how the deep systematic prejudice, oppression and racism goes.

The Spaniards wanted to keep their bloodline pure so the children of their slaves married and had children by other family members or even by slave master. Puerto Rico is part of the USA. Why is PR so poor? Puerto Rico is so poor because they had no use for the people their anymore, descendants of slaves. Knowing who you are is important. -- The Anti-Critical Race Theory movement seeks to restore White Supremacy to its antebellum glory. The movement sprang up in September of 2020 when White Supremacists feared racial equality was advancing in the wake of the outrage over the police murder of George Floyd by four members of the notorious systemically racist Minneapolis Police Department. The Anti-Critical Race Theory movement holds that race is biologically real, the White race is the superior race and teaches Whites to hate all non-Whites. Anti-Critical Race Theory opposes Critical Race Theory because it teaches that race is not biologically real, it is a social construct. Therefore, there is no reason to hate members of another race.

@@John_Stevens_1 I think that sounds like a theoretical proposition. You teach history so the actions taken then would not be repeated. If you're watching America, that's not really the truth. We're repeating and repealing some if not all of the progress made. Affirmative Action was voted into law in 1965. Are you really of a belief that in less than 60 years a people should overcome 400 years of denigration and just move on? Unification is not really what's being sought. It's what is said to pacify the ignorant. Unification can't occur until the facts, all the facts are known. In all of what I've heard about CRT, I've never heard anyone say it's teaching a lie. So if it's not an un-truth, why not teach the full breath and depth of history? YES, even the parts that are uncomfortable to know. A nation that does not understand its history is destined to repeat it. But I guess that's the point, isn't it?

@@sandradavis3134 I challenge you to give me one example of something in American law that constitutes systemic discrimination against minorities. Is there anything that a white person can legally do that a black person can't legally do? There's certainly examples to the contrary as a result of affirmative action policies.
@sandradavis31349 ай бұрын
@@John_Stevens_1 And there in LIES the crux of the issue. No John, there is not one law that separates what a white person can do that a black person cannot. But unless you are deaf, dumb and blind, or living in a gigantic bubble, then you should be aware that laws are carried out by flawed human beings who come equipped with their own realities and bias. Don't see a lot of black people questioning whites going about their goings and coming. Don't see a lot of white delivery drivers stopped in black neighborhoods while making deliveries. Don't see a lot of white children shot stopping at the wrong black house while picking up a sibling. Don't see a lot of white men shot while jogging with their earplugs in because they didn't hear to stop for a 'lawful' order. But this isn't really about laws is it? America remains the notion of a Nation. Unfortunately it continues to struggle with the realities of its humanity. Maybe if people just told and learned the truth? Hmmmm? Perhaps? But yeah...better to talk unification than actually be about the business of it.

I would be all in on any social movement that actually tries to end racism, to create more opportunity for under-privileged people, and that takes constructive actions against poverty. Being poor and stuck is the real social issue. It's good to hear a man of color talk about overcoming difficulties and achieving things in life. Giving up on yourself and blaming someone else for your challenges never really helps anyone.

Amen! I have a 7 and a 5yr old, both boys. I was recently told that my 5 yr old had to be reprimanded because he called an African American child a monkey. I was shocked. My kids dont even understand racism. Why? Because they havent been taught it yet. What REALLY happened once I got the story from his older brother, is that my 5 yr old was singing a joking song... "happy birthday to you. You live in a zoo. You look like a monkey, and you smell like one too". He had NO clue it could even be misconstrued as offensive just because the child he was singing front of happened to be black. When my kids were in daycare, and still today, they play with EVERY child based on that child's behavior... NOT skin color, race, or even sex. If you put a white laughing baby next to a black laughing baby... they will laugh together. Do you think either one of them cares about skin color? RACISM IS TAUGHT. It's a LEARNED behavior. Nobody is born with a racist mentality. Nobody. So when I asked if the black child was offended and told a teacher, I was told "NO. Another black teacher overheard it and pulled my child aside". Neither child could've or would've understood that it could be racist... UNTIL THAT MOMENT WHEN THEY WERE TOLD.

Bless this man for coming out and telling exactly the truth in life! It does not matter what your skin color is, its about your own personal integrity and will to want to succeed. Are you poor? Did you know you immediately qualify for: free/limited cost housing, free breakfast/lunches at school/ food stamps, sometimes after school day care/programs FREE of charge, and even at the time you hit college (as an adult) financial aid that PAYS you to attend. Tell me again how minorities have no opportunities? My family grew up in the projects, my mother got off the program as soon as my brothers were old enough to work. Not one of her kids has a criminal record So yes....this man nailed the truth that limited minded people who love to cause friction to try slam down your throat
