Horage are using the micro-rotor which I would prefer over a manual wind. Yema have a pretty good micro-rotor going in quite a few of their watches. The Venezianico is pretty awesome too. I love the Aventurine dial on the Nereide (and the gold one too). Citizen has been doing great watches recently. They had some pretty awesome watches last year as well. The JLC is sadly in the unobtanium price bracket, but can't argue that they make some banging watches.

The Polaris perpetual calendar in gold is gorgeous, just too expensive! I tried it on when I was dropping off my JLC master control for servicing earlier this year. To me, the rest of the Polaris line pales in comparison (nice, but I’d rather the top-of-the-line). Maybe if the coming recession is really bad there’ll be a deal on the secondary market. While I love JLCs, their constant material price increases have put me off buying another at retail.
@FullyLumed3 ай бұрын
The gold remark was a little tongue in cheek. Gorgeous watches, but yes, the retail price and weak residuals will probably hit the new models like the previous ones!
@masterdad-zf9po3 ай бұрын
@@FullyLumed that’s my take as well. I’m watching as prices of many watches go down in the aftermarket and hoping that I can get one or two for a relative song in due course. Doubt the JLC will hit the affordability meter, but never say never!

I'm trying desperately to stay interested in stock footage. When will there be some original footage?
@FullyLumed3 ай бұрын
@@sweetcorn1968 thanks for the feedback, I totally get it. Obviously my channel is new and I’m limited on contacts in the industry. I’m compiling an army of equipment for filming and in contact with a few local watch dealers about getting footage. But it is noted and I’m actively trying to achieve it. Please bear with me, this isn’t something I’m being paid for and I have a full-time job so the process isn’t as easy as me throwing my whole time into it, Thanks for watching and I hope you stick around.

After getting my desired Breitling, Rolex and Omega pieces, my next and final target is JLC, preferably Reverso Duoface. AP and Patek are of no interest to me, especially after I tried few they don't speak to me and are a bit silly, but then again they are created for people who want to make their presence known and flex their status. JLC are way better than AP or Patek in my humble opinion, especially for the price which is quite attractive on the 2nd hand market.
@FullyLumed3 ай бұрын
@@desireless4092 my thoughts exactly. I’m still further behind in my watch collecting journey but my end goal is JLC! But honestly, I can appreciate AP and Patek from afar, but as you say, JLC just resonates with me so much more! Thanks for watching!
