Great review as always, but I think it's important to showcase some other important differences if we are going to compare with the S100. 1. This doesn't have the integrated bracelet, so this new Manta can be a strap monster. 2. Sapphire bezel and looks like better anti-reflecting coating 3. Nicer, blingier or more modern design (this is subjective) 4. Upgraded movement with Bluetooth, etc. 5. Nicer bracelet (maybe a bit busier) with adjustable clasp. 6. This Manta version has better lume than the S100. 7. The Manta may be a bit more scratch resistant since it has a sapphire bezel vs the shinny titanium bezel which shows scratch lines with time. I still prefer the simplicity of the S100, but I can appreciate this Manta for what it is. Hoping that these can go down in price in a year or so, but I'm still tempted on getting the S100. I even prefer it to the T200! I would consider this Manta in black or green. The colors and sapphire bezel makes this model too blingy, but still very cool!

My T200 (also in green) remains my preferred watch of the three-hand option, but this looks like another stunner. Even if you flatter yourself on your supposedly subtle tastes, as I do, these are sheer joy to look at and I strongly recommend trying one out. Insane build quality and wholly unique - yet coherent - designs. It is weird how dinky some of their clasps are, since the bracelets are clearly worked up with serious care.

I just got two JDM Seikos for basically the same price as when I saw them in Japan, with the coupons they have. For this last purchase I bought from two shops on Yahoo Auction and used Buyee's consolidation service and saved a ton on shipping too. It all worked great and the watches arrived quickly.

I believe most of these Oceanus models have independent motors for each hand which allows for adjustment after the hands are set. They're not geared together. More expensive I'd imagine, but it's effective. And while this model is over $700, the S100 and T100 can be had in the $350 range. I have a T200S-3AJF (green dial) and it's a fantastic watch. Still, since I tried titanium I've determined that it _is_ for me, and I could see rolling my T200 and another watch or 2 into a titanium Oceanus like this one (at a discount I hope??) -OR- another Eco-drive watch in titanium (since it was Citizen that sold me on titanium watches in the first place w/ the Promaster Land AT6080-53L). I'm at a point where I have "enough" watches, and buying also means selling, but that's fine. Interesting that they have got the crystal so good. I had a JDM Seiko from the early 90s with a similar piece of glass, quite unlike anything else I have ever seen. Oceanus are really easy to switch between timezones. I can't confirm with this model, but usually when you pop the crown, the second hand will point to the city. Turn the crown to change the city, and when you push the crown back in, it'll change to the new time zone with the correct time. Pop it again, reset to the original city, and you can return to the original time. It seems easier to follow the cities in the bezel than remember GMT +5 or -6 or such.
