When the market was bullish and everything was on the green, I copied trades from eToro traders, and frankly I’m happy by this decision. My portfolio went up with around 6% for a week. Once the market went red I sold my profits. My actual experience is that my returns are different than the people I copy so liquidate all my assets and recopy only 1 trader. So far I am up 33.41% which already includes the recent market decline. As long as you do your research on who you’re copying and what their strategy is, it’s a nice hands-off way to invest.

Jordan Alstoft 9/10 of these companies are all running on old shit. Companies run on windows 7(nothing really wrong with it but it’s still more likely to be hacked compared to windows 10/linux machine) , XP, manage their databases with excel and so much more outdated crap. Invest in S&P 500 for a safe, less risky, and more diversified growth of your money. Vanguard and Fidelity both have great and popular ETFs and mutual funds dedicated to the SP500 index, spanning hundreds of stocks that they bundle and manage. I would recommend VOO or FXAIX and just let the money sit in there. Add to it periodically if you want. It's better to bet the whole market for long term growth than performance chase any one sector, industry, or individual company. Let the experts do the bundling for you.

For an interesting article in machine learning (AI) lookup AI program vs poker players. As of right now the program can only beat one player heads up. The reason for this is that humans have the ability to deceit and programs have a very difficult time responding to false information. I swear there are so many scammers on these kinds of videos. I just saw a thread of solicitors from a Bitcoin related comment in this video that tried to convince people to sign up with this "financial advisor" named Mrs. Claudia who yield them profits through Bitcoin and then proceeded to provide a Whatsapp phone number for people to contact her. This is such a classic example of scam where fraudsters try to convince others to give them their personal banking information and hand over their bitcoin holdings to a "financial advisor" across foreign country only to have said advisor run off with the cash and bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is encrypted there will be no way to trace where the money went in the event of a fraudulent transaction.

derrick smith.. oh for sure... and their excuse is that they are providing liquidity and are acting as market makers. The truth is, as u mentioned, is they intercept the order before it gets to the sip and exchanges and middle man it basically,.... they also dabble in quote stuffing and spoofing

+Derrick Smith yes they are but they make their money from the spreads by front running and quickly selling to a buyer for a very very small profit. If you trade very small time frames this is any issue, but really I think these guys are more like a second broker that takes a very small fee. It's wrong I know, but many people still make a living trading the markets. If they didn't there would be no market.

The spread profit is not the only part of the hft game..spoofing, banging the close, wash trading, quote stuffing... Plus, why should there be a middle man when we can have direct access to the SIP and exchanges??? Its the same as you are standing in line to buy bread. The guy at the front of the line quickly buys a loaf (gets a discount because he buys 100s every day) and when its ur turn to buy he sells to u instead of the bread maker, making a small profit... To you it seems like you are saving a penny or a fraction of one. But in reality, had you bought directly from bread maker you would have paid much less. For someone who trades 20k in one trade, often that 'spread' is $20-40 on the lot..
