"I bring something into the room that others couldn't" THIS! I know I have a bad habit of comparing myself to others on things that I DONT have that they do, but I love her saying that because everyone has something unique to themselves that can create great things. 100% using that quote when I catch myself comparing.

Agreed. Storyboarding is a lot easier than animation. Kudos to her, I personally don't like people watching me work either...especially watching me over my shoulder 😱😾 she handled the pressure very well. 😂 The perfectionist side is one I'm trying to get over. I hate when a something goes off model and the hand looks weird but she's right about not focusing so much on a shot that is there for only a second! This was very inspiring!
@etrama2863
@etrama2863 Ай бұрын
I am still learning about both but I feel like they are easy and difficult in their own way. Animating is very time consuming and you need to get the details right so it looks like a proper movement, but there isn't much to think of especially if you're used to it. Story boarding doesn't need to pay attention to that much detail, but you have to think on how the shots will look like, the good placement for the characters, and maybe some minor gesture or position of the characters. You also need to make sure that the directors can see what the scene is about in that particular part and the character's expression. Not only you need a wide creativity and visualisation skills as the storyboard artist, you need to keep in mind about the placement, camera angle, and expressions. I've tried a bit of storyboarding and oh boy do I feel like I need a lot more practice! They are amazing in their own way!

Wreck-it Ralph is one of the best movies of all times and Ralph breaks the internet is one of the lamest movies. Josie is not to be blamed. She is a very pure of heart person. it is the problem of script and agendas the top heads want to throw at the world and expect the story team to make a sense of that stupid junk they think is great. Frozen, Brave, cars3 all new movies fall for this trap. only Toystory 4 manages to survive that and offers more honesty in characters than others.

@@JoeyPerezthethird Happy to help! The Pentel brand is VERY popular for animation! I know that Cartoon Network supplies Pentel Sketch Pens (a bit different from Pentel Sign Pens but still pretty neat to use) for their storyboarders. Other animation studios also use pentel quite often, though I can't remember which kind (I'm guessing it's all just a preference thing, and finding what kind works best for you!)

@danrazART
@danrazART 3 жыл бұрын
WHAT are you talking about? Ralph breaks the internet was the worst movie. TRUE. but camera angles, scene composition are the LAST things to consider when telling a story. are you out of your mind to think that she was planning wrong? when you are telling someone what happened or how do you feel about something, do you say " imagine Low angle, 20mm lens, back lit, low ceiling fan spinning slow, slow music playing...." or you just say " I felt sad that day" ????????? camera angles and composition are the 2ndary things to create AFTER you have locked the basic EMOTIONS down. Don't confuse things. just because you hate calarts. and to be clear, I have absolutely no connection with anything. just your mixing up Josie as the person to blame for wreck-it Ralph 2 caused me to reply. BTW, I hate Thundercats ROAR! and love TEENTITANSgo! if you can't find the difference, you are not trained well to see the difference.
