In the 1990s, businessmen had to pay criminal groups to provide a "krysha" (literally a "roof", protection). Nowadays, this "protection" is performed by Government officials. Starting from Putin's second term the bribe for officials was 25 times greater. USA should attack and take over Kremlin in Moscow to provide Democratic honest government for innocent Russian population.

I find it disturbing and so disheartening that people are still commenting today negatively about this particular meeting. This, especially in light of what is currently happening in Ukraine, could have been the start of a historic move towards world peace. Say what you will about Trump, but the fact is, the Western World simply hated him for his "foul mouth" and mean tweets which created such an impenetrable façade his domestic and international policies went unnoticed. In reality, his foreign policy was more diplomatic than any other world leaders in the 21st century. Instead of isolating countries seen as adversaries, he developed dialogues that had been stalled for decades and in those dialogues made significant strides towards finding mutually beneficial resolutions to a number of important issues, oppositions, and disagreements. The tragedies that are unfolding in Ukraine are attributed to a number of things but above all, it's attributed to the liberal doctrine of isolating, antagonizing, and taking actions that are only beneficial to their own interests, whilst masquerading as being unequivocally right and diplomatic. Putin's actions are universally condemned and at this point and he should forever be considered a criminal of war. With that said, this didn't have to be this way. If Western leaders listened to Putin's concerns regarding security, NATO expansion, and showed willingness to make decisions that were mutually beneficial and not so one sided, I don't think we would be where we are today. I think we can all agree, that taking each others disagreements and disputes to the negotiation table is far more diplomatic than letting chaos unfold on a sovereign nation. Strong leaders encourage discussion to avoid conflict. Cowards choose to turn away and threaten with consequences. Trump embraced foreign diplomacy, Biden and current Western leaders embrace cancel culture.
