WATCH: Donald Trump given warm welcome as crowd chants 'USA'

Former US President Donald Trump was met with a thunderous welcome during a surprise visit on Thursday.
Before his court appearance, Trump visited a Manhattan construction site, greeting supporters and workers on 48th Street and Park Avenue.
During his visit, the former president announced he was “going to run very hard in New York” ahead of the presidential election.
According to the New York Post, union workers revealed to the publication they are “all about” Trump.
The former president also criticised his New York trial as a “witch hunt”.
“I did nothing wrong. It’s a political witch hunt. It’s election interference, that’s all it is,” he said.
