@@awwom Probably because Rishi is unelected by the people (only his party elected him as leader), he is unpopular within the general populace and in his own party now.. The party has numerous scandals, corruption such as giving money to friends of the party for covid protecting equipment which the companies did not even produce. So he personally has no mandate to rule, only his party, and both are hated by the people. He is refusing to call or set a date for an election, which makes him seem like he is desperately holding not power. The only thing I can think of that would solidify the dictator description would be if he used the police or military to hold onto power, he likely will not do that and will just retire to California to be a speaker at universities.
