True story: I was once dining at Daniel Boulud’s restaurant “Daniel” in NYC with an exec from Audemars Piguet and a guy from IWC and Daniel Boulud came to sit at our table and noticed my IWC Perpetual Calendar, and I took it off and he tried it on - removing his ceramic Cartier Santos Black Ceramic. He sat with us for 20 mins and had a glass of wine while we talked watches - and specifically some of the watches we noticed on his peers like Ramsay, Eric Ripert, Joel Robuchon, etc. Daniel’s a class act!!

@@josea1443 wow. Didn’t think this was a big deal. I’m a ‘known’ collector of IWCs and Silicon Valley exec. This happened in 2012 when IWC hosted the opening of their new Madison Ave Boutique in NYC. I was invited with some other collectors. Boxers Larry Holmes, Evander Holyfield, Miya Ali, actors Chris Hemsworth and IWC CEO at time Georges Kern and others were there. They unveiled the new commemorative Muhammad Ali limited Big Pilot. I left with 2 friends who happened to work for AP and IWC and we had a reservation at Daniel.

That IWC is so simple yet so iconic. If you are a watch nerd you can tell it is an IWC from a mile away. Of course, reference number and model is something only Nico will be able to recognize from that distance

I probably have the weakest watch collection out of everyone reading but I'm new to this and my favorite one is a Benoss Milan from my dad he gave me this past Christmas, he passed 3 days after and I remember opening it at the time and having to thank him through the phone with all his grandchildren for such a shit watch lol.🥺 didn't know it would be the last time I got to see him alive so that's why that's my favorite watch. Priceless. I really miss him.
