the watch Nico is wearing is a comex sea-dweller. Comex was a French diving team that went to Rolex so their divers could have a watch that could survive the depths they were diving to. Basically Rolex came out with Comex subs for these divers. Eventually this leads to sub with a helium escapement valve. AKA the first sea dweller. Long story short Nico is wearing a 6 figure extremely rare watch.

The G Shock GA-2100 Nico is wearing is very popular in Malaysia because the Crown Prince of the state of Johor wears it. Since then, Malaysian G Shock enthusiasts simply call the GA-2100 the TMJ (Tengku Mahkota Johor = Crown Prince of Johor). We Malaysians come up with really weird nicknames for our G Shocks.

COMEX (a French diving company) use to collab with Rolex to make “special order” diving watches that were not available to the public and were made in small quantities. The one on his wrist is the last year the two companies worked together.

not an expert but i can tell you that COMEX is a French company, which is the oldest in deep scuba diving (like extremely deep) and the most iconic one. The divers had rolex with “comex” written under it and you could only have one if you were a diver. Due to the rarity and such an important collab (comex is the equivalent for the sea as NASA for the space) for rolex they now are like super rare and go between 110/160k depending on the year. i’m not an expert so if you have more details tell it to me :) and if i’m dumb and saying bullshit i’ll delete the comment hahaha

Ok, I came to the comments looking if someone knew the Comex story, haven’t seen anyone so I guess it’s my time to shine: Comex is a diving company, which is considered the NASA of the seas. They normally used Rolex Submariners but at certain depths they broke, so they partnered with Rolex to create the helium escape valve and they put it in some prototype Submariners which were never for sale, only people at Comex could get them, that’s why they’re so rare. It worked and then Rolex went on to produce the Sea Dweller and later the Deep Sea which is the “hardcore” version of the Submariner. Why I know this? John Mayer taught me this in his Talking watches video as he owns a couple Comexes himself.
