Uh, the vast majority of watches have a clutch that completely prevents over-winding. In fact, this is a thing in almost all manual winding watches. Notable exceptions are the Reverso, which is annoying. Not sure why this makes the RM special, especially when this is a feature you need to activate manually.

For those who want to actually see the items and learn something about the significance and Tom Brady's ownership, highly recommend watching Roman Sharf's video which was actually filmed in Sotheby's with these items in hand and provided a lot more detail and information. This is also only about 10% of Tom Brady's personal watch collection. The AP piece unique was a retirement present from AP directly from Francois who asked Michael Friedman to design it and something they made for him and asked him to wear for marketing and its a thing of beauty. White gold and diamond-set flying tourbillon with a salmon tapisserie dial and ‘Tom Brady’ indexes set with calibré-cut and baguette diamonds. The M is in blue and doubles as the VII or 7 for the number of super bowls he won. The rotor also has his signature on it. He wore it to the Netflix special Roast and since then everyone calls this the Roast.
